When you held up the tyres to the camera at the start, it made it look like the wheels were 50"! They looked massive haha. Nice video as always mate! :)
Incredible detailed review. I’m on the hunt for a front and rear tire pair that offers good grip mostly dry hard pack type terrain that rolls faster than my DHF/DHRII combo. Wouldn’t mind shedding some weight while I’m at it on my tires. Any suggestions? I ride a pivot Firebird
@@jaybartlett2561 thanks chief. DHF actually OK, it’s mostly the DHR slowing you down. So you could just swap the rear and see how that goes. Rekon would be my first choice but definitely in EXO+ carcass so you can still do Firebirdy things on your Firebird. If you want to switch front too then the Forekaster is an excellent tyre. Alternatively Dissector front / Forekaster rear if you wanted chunkier knobs for digging in with and were OK with a slightly smaller speed gain versus DHF/DHR
@@jaybartlett2561 I'd go 2.6. A little heavier but the bigger volume makes a lot more sense on a longer travel bike and without EXO+ I reckon you'll be pinch flatting a lot
Did you ever get sent the trail M? Got an orbea occam on order with fox 36 factory and fox dpx2 factory (already a fast, stiff bike) Currently it's coming with the trail m and trail r...Not sure whether to swap them for my trusty Dissectors
@@GuyKesTV yeah I'm a big fan of the dissector. Might keep the high roller 2 on the front and go dissector on the back. Lots of big hills where I am so I still need the low resistance!
Currently building up a Ragley hardtail, I can't find my usual favourite tyre combo in stock anywhere in 27.5 (WTB Vigilante 2.5, Trail Boss 2.4) Any recommendations? I like something nice and knobbly up front and then something tighter packed at the back. Mainly ride trail centre reds/blacks and occasional uplift days.
I'd go Mary front and Rock Razor rear or the new Specialized Butcher T9 front, T7 Eliminator rear as the damping in the carcass feels awesome on hardballs. See also Hutchinson Griffus which might be easier to find as they're criminally underrated

@Keagan Malachi yea, have been using kaldroStream for since november myself :)
@Keagan Malachi definitely, I have been watching on kaldrostream for years myself =)

Great in-depth review
I love your content Guy. And your beard is majestic!
Cheers mate, not sure how long the beard will stay, it’s eating more than I am

@@GuyKesTV doesn’t seem like they make a 2.4 width Rekon in the EXO +
Any downside to going with a 2.6? Or a 2.4 in the regular EXO…

Fingers crossed for Ard Rock 2021
Absolutely 👊🏻 Need to get the tandem ready to roll again

Not yet Sean, staying on Pirelli would be even stiffer and faster, but you’ll definitely be more comfortable and connected on Dissector.

Magic mary and big betty or wild enduros.

@@GuyKesTV Just ordered a set of the Hutcho's! Thanks for the recommendation!
@@superspecky4eyes hope you like them I really rate them. Are they still a decent price?
i like your speach
I wonder how they compare to maxxis
Junk. Same compound means cheap manufacturing. I've owned their tires. Slow and not anything special regarding handling.
Never heard so much crap, these are not cheaply made . Maybe not the best tyre or maybe they are but th3y are well produced.
