It doesn't look fast on TV but this really gives you that perspective that you're flyyyying bro. One question though, how come track limits don't matter on T1?
Your quality is exceptional ❤ Because of your channel I watched the first race of benelux porsche cup here before le mans and loved it. Was great to catch you racing live and seeing your talent in action. Honestly can't believe how clear and smooth the camera is for a helmet cam, you have a damper attached to your neck or something? 😂 ❤
your living the dream mate, I created a one of a kind Sim Rig with absolutely no money, bit by bit 100% out of peoples scrap and hard rubbish and rivals rigs worth tens of thousands of dollars. I will try to mock up your experience on my Hard Rubbish Rig and see how it turns out. Far from your realworld racecar, I will make do with what I make. 🤠👍
@@dirkschoutenracing of cours i enjoyed it! Im going to the nürburgring for the Porsche Cup in August. I have a question: What license do you have in iracing? Are you going to Do a iracing stream soon?
Front was feeling solid. We need to miss the apex at the hairpin, because the tarmac on the inside is really poor. The Sachs curve has quite some banking, which you see on a track walk. It's better to brake later and take the banking.
Hello Dirk, really dig your POV setup - would you mind secretly telling me;-) what helmet mount you use? ...thanks a lot and all the best of success in your racing career, Andy
Yess we win around 0.3 seconds going into it deep, because the inside tarmac is really poor quality and you can't rotate and have traction at the inside.
Compared to gt3 cars, the brakes on these things seem pretty weak. They usually brake at the 100m boars into turn 2, whereas porsche cup cars brake at 150. Is it the extra speed or weaker brakes?
@@dirkschoutenracing Love your videos, keep them coming. The POV angle is exceptional. I did my first test this weekend in 991 Cup. You make it look easy!

Hi, I have to say I was impressed with your channel, you have a great guide! For sure you know the world of Sim Racing. A doubt came to my mind regarding the simulation vs reality speech. I have heard of real professional drivers and many say that in real motorsport on the track there is little training (about two or three times a month of tests), due to excessive costs, other championships forbid it by regulation and the tests are limited, as well you will know F1 for example. While in virtual motorsport I've heard that the best drivers train 3 to 4 hours a day for about two weeks before each race, and that is essential for them if they want to get results and win. Well comparing the two things how do real pilots train so little to go fast anyway?! Will they also have a simulator at home which they use to prepare, spending the same hours as the virtual pilots do?! How important is the use of the simulator in modern motorsport fun? Do you pilots use it? Thanks in advance for the answer!😎💪🏻
Love these POV Videos! Keep them coming!
Awesome driving ! This camera view makes me feel like I'm in the car with you. The sensation of speed is so well rendered 🤩 You're great Dude !
WOW Dirk, love this POV!!! Nice.
Holy damn that looks fun! Waiting for your next race!
!!yessirr my fav gt driver in my fav track!!
Is that the line at 0:40 or did you overshoot it a bit? Also lovely bit of oversteer at 1:22!
We have to take the outside because the tarmac is really poor on the inside. We win around 0.3 seconds on the outside.
I was there on March. You are right. The inside is in a realy bad condition.
Great video. I look forward to seeing more of them. Keep up the great driving, and always be safe.
Thing of beauty this racing simulation! 😁😍 Photorealistic I should say...and those spin recoveries were so cool! Bravo Dirk 👏
I love this vision ❤
Using Superview I could see more things in the vision 🤩🤩
Wow that was great . Look forward watching you full race again .
From someone who played a lot of 1st person shooters....increased field of view is augmenting greatly the speed perception
Love the new camera !!😍
lekkerrrrr hoor ! 🤘😎
flying lap
FANTASTIC !! thank you
love that man, keep pushing
I think this wide angle of view is the most appropriate to feel the speed, so I like this shooting setting the most, bro
Awesome, got many clips in this view :)
Hell ya music too my ears 😁
Great video! Love it👍
Awesome driving, mate.🎉🎉🎉

Thanks man! Appreciate it! The GoPro is very good at stability and the quality is great.
1st he made zandvoort look easy and now he makes hockenheimring look easy
Awesome video, hope you will go to Supercup !
You had really good coverage during Race 2 Mate.
Very good 👍
sick track
Your first corner in a video game: „Your lap is invalidated ❌“ 😂
The raytracing is strong with this one
Cool FOV - we need a race like this.. :P
Yeah it's coming. Just at home, so now I got the time to edit it all :)
G'day,
Good stuff mate..

Not enough front end grip? Or why was the apex missed in BE- curve and Sachs curve?
Front was feeling solid. We need to miss the apex at the hairpin, because the tarmac on the inside is really poor. The Sachs curve has quite some banking, which you see on a track walk. It's better to brake later and take the banking.

we need more hockenheim clips!
They are coming ;)
992 Cup on Hockenheim, perfect combo 😀 i’m happy that we normal guys can feel a bit like wannabes with sims like rF2 😄
Been there 😄 Great event!! Thou unlucky at the start of the 2nd race! How does it come that the Tire pressures are not blurred this time?
Awesome! Hope you enjoyed it! I don't have to blur the pressures as the weekend is over.
You make the hairpin at Hockenheim look way too easy. That corner has destroyed many many sim racers' dreams.
Dirk, i have a question, This car is faster than the gt3 “no cup”?
GT3 is faster than GT3 Cup
was that the intended line at the hairpin? or did you go a bit deep
Yess we win around 0.3 seconds going into it deep, because the inside tarmac is really poor quality and you can't rotate and have traction at the inside.
@@dirkschoutenracing yea, i knew you didn't miss spots. apologize for not having faith in you. 🙏

GT3 Cars have better brakes, abs and more aero to slow the car down.
@@dirkschoutenracing ah, that explains it 😀
How do you deal with the temperature? Isn't it too hot when you race?
Stay hydrated before the race and it is still really hot, around 60 degrees C in the car.
Great video! But i dont really like the wide angle tho, looks a bit weird imho. But great stuff anyway! 🤘🏽
What tyre preasure are you driving
Man, those sausage curbs is scary to look at...
Do you left foot brake in the 992 Cup?
Yes I do

So much understeer then snap of oversteer. Looks hard to drive
It’s a video game
Honestly I really don’t like this hyperview thing. Your classic POV videos were a lot better. Just my opinion 🙏
Alright! I filmed one race with hyperview and one with normal view. Look forward to see the opinions ;)
