Charmed enemy fucking kills his ally, so the turn order progresses to the other one that charged up so he could blast Demi Fiend, thank you Shin Megami Tensei Nocturne.
This is like quadruple bad RNG. - The first enemy breaks through panic to use Focus - The second enemy randomly chooses to kill the third - the first enemy breaks through panic _again_ to use Lunge - he picks demi-fiend as the target
I love how this video creates a heavy sense of dramatic irony because "All the Mofunofus have ailments, what could possibly go wrong?" yet it's a SMT moment video so you know it has to end in the player getting absolutely fucking destroyed.
Yeah, there is usually something fundamentally wrong about their party setup or the choices they make before the enemy turn, but this was simply very unlucky.
You can either boil it down to: - Unbalanced Party Comp (All Physical, All Magic, No Dekunda/Dekaja, still using low tier debuffing moves) - Literal Bullshit (here, or player gets murdered first turn) The tldr is this: if you play Demi-fiend as a fast caster, you're asking to be destroyed by the game
I'm planning to play this game, what exactly is a fast caster build?, this is gonna be my first playthrough so I would prefer avoiding any bad builds @@Signedcentaur

Yeah… the shitty part is just how hard it is to find a terminal. Took me multiple attempts of just dying and getting sent back to the hospital to even get to shibuya and find that terminal. This truly was my Shin Megami Tensei Cockturne

Ummm. Doesn't matter if the game is modded or not, they didn't add the redone music. Listen to Forced Battle or Common Battle and it'll still sound like a tin can
there's a reason i could never get into this game despite being a huge megami tensei fan. i'll play the famicom games all day, but the moment you start introducing game overs because of bad luck, i'm out. mc death = game over in a game where you can genuinely just die because the game said so(despite doing everything correctly to prevent it) isn't good design and it isn't fun.
Broke through charm, I think it maxes out attack too, so it was like a 5x normal attack lmao (disclaimer I’m a complete noob at SMT so don’t take my words with some salt)
One of the demons performed what I call a "multi press turn move" which is done by removing your party members in order to move again. This is very risky and dumb to do this on yourself. As for the enemy, focus grant 2.5x damage of lunge, which is just enough to kill this player.
@@bigbear7826charmed enemy killed the enemy that was ab to go next so that press turn rolled over to the enemy that focused earlier and then it lunged at you
What non-SMT JRPGs even do that? I've only heard of Yakuza 7&8 doing that, and I've yet to see how bad it is. Devil Survivor gives your squad leaders damage resistance if their demons are still alive, I think making your MC a fail condition can be good if you design around it. Most SMT only does it for lore reasons though, and seemingly forgot about that in Persona.
SMT makes a lot of sense. Your party consists of demons who are just rolling with you and have no loyalty or obligation to keep you alive or bring you back. Persona on the other hand… that shit don’t make any sense. You mean to tell me that these characters absolutely cannot do anything without protagonist’s input? Like you got a character like Mitsuru who’s this super genius at acedemics and combat strategy, but she can’t just give the dead protagonist a fucking balm of life? Like they all just go sit in a corner and die? Make it make sense

This kind of thing should be more common in SMT imo, just completely decimating the player with crazy strategies

Say what you want about the remaster, but I'm grateful for all the new classic cturne moment videos.
"Where's the 'no'?"
"Being yelled by the player in the background."
I feel like a lot of these videos involve the player doing something dumb to set themselves up. This was genuinely just unfortunate
