    excellent work. I remember, as an apprentice, painting this loco bright yellow in the mid eighties.

    Thanks for the vid ...fascinating , but why don't the 56/70s bring the tanks all the way through?

      Ribble Rail has the contract with Total bitumen to move the traffic flows along the Ribble Steam Railway basically. Also there simply wouldn't be enough time for the mainline locos to carry out the necessary shunt moves required throughout the day, as they have to get back across to Lindsey Refinery with the empties in order to get them loaded in time for the following service.
