Just finished watching this all the way through, great little film you’ve done here. Used to live in Preston and never realised what a fine collection of running locos they have there, had only ever seen the blue saddle tank running, well done to you for showing them all off so nicely, great footage. That railway is a bit of a hidden gem I reckon!
Hi Paul, i now what you mean its less than an hour a way from us and we went on the first opening day in 2004 but hadnt been till 2016, but we have been to visit to steam galas in a row now in march, so will hopefully keep visiting more often its not the longest line but is quite unique with the swing bridge and the museum itself and viewing area of the workshops as well as it being a working railway during the week transporting tar. it is a must for any rail enthusiast. thanks for watching and glad you enjoyed the video. Tom
Brilliant, cheers for uploading this so quickly! I was there as well today, had an amazing afternoon. They have an unbelievable collection there, FR20 is a beauty and Grant Richie is the only example left in the world, I believe. Hopefully this will help RSR gain some visitors and members. It was good to see the car park so busy anyway. Nice work capturing some of the goings on today, cheers 👍
Hi glad you enjoyed the day out and the video, it's certainly a well run railway and museum with plenty to see, I didntvrealise grant Richie was an only example is it an andrew barclay loco, I'd love to volunteer some were like this if work and bills don't get in the way one day, thanks for watching. Tom
@@northwesttrainsmodels Cheers Tom, me too! Grant Ritchie was a separate company, their engines just looked suspiciously similar to Andrew Barclay. Two Barclay employees (Grant and Ritchie) left around the same time there was a fire at the Barclay factory, and were seen with arms full of drawings - perhaps a little suspicious especially since Grant Ritchie locos looked very similar to Andrew Barclay locos
@@northwesttrainsmodels it’s running over the Easter weekend and again on the May bank holiday. I’m off to Egypt Friday on their Railways so planning to see it at Didcot on April 29 th fingers crossed
Awesome images with steam locomotives and trains, great work! Thumbs Up & Subscribe
