I love this. I haven't meditated in silence for 10 days but I have lost, (given up) so much of my stuff. In doing this over the past few years after a divorce and many moves, I have only what I need. I learned that stuff suffocated me. I give away anything I have if someone needs or wants it, particularly my art. The only things (stuff) that I don't give away are my musical instruments. My art and music are a part of who I am. I definitely share and have given a lot of art away. Saying all this to say, silencing our thoughts and hanging on to stuff can really weigh you down. What's important in life is God given. The art and music of the world are free. Hope this wasn't to long and made sense. LOL. PEACE!

That's beautiful Angie. Thank you for sharing this. I admire your generosity and sharing of your art. It's a beautiful gesture towards others and yourself when you give so freely and unconditionally. Holding onto things too much can indeed have bad consequences on our mind and soul, and practicing letting go is a crucial part of feeling at peace within ourselves.
Well, if you'd gave away your musical instruments, you wouldn't be able to make music anymore! So please keep them to yourself, and keep practicing! You're a wonderful person with amazing talents 💜✨

Hi, thanks for sharing your experience. I’m planning to do the vipassana course in Mexico in January (it will be my second after doing a course in USA 2018). I’m wondering how the covid policy was? Did you have to wear a mask for a certain amount of days? Thank you!!

Hey Helena! Thank you so much for watching and leaving a comment. I'm very excited for you! I am considering doing a second course as well next year when I'm in India :)
If you're going to the one near Mexico city, then the covid policy was quite flexible from what I remember. Only the first 3 days the mask was mandatory in the big meditation hall and common areas if I remember correctly.

I just came back from my first course! We’re you meditating and how much after? I still feel like I’m in a different level of reality. Some version of high but intimately in my body and in deep peace.
