- Today marks the end of the Nightmare on Elm Street review series. For this video, I will be ranking all nine films against one another. These are just my thoughts and my opinions.

Great ranking video! Cool to see how you would arrange these. I have only seen the remake once (years ago) and didn’t like it personally. But I do enjoy all the other films in the franchise now. It took me a while to come round to New Nightmare, I suppose I didn’t connect to it as much when I was a kid but now I love it. The first 3 I do really love as well. I done a ranking a few years ago and it hasn’t changed since:

Great ranking i can def see why you put the 2nd movie as your top spot i would say part 3 is my top spot as i love the characters from there but the first are amazing

Original nightmare, Dream warriors, New Nightmare, Dream master, Freddy's revenge, Freddy vs Jason, Dream child, Freddy's dead, nightmare remake I still see all these movies over and over again but not the remake it's that bad
I feel like dream warriors is number one but yes, Freddy 2 was scary. Particularly the bus scene
Oh yeah like that is really another scene that is burned into my brain. Still remember being very young n watching it on my mom's television

Yeah a lot of people gravitate towards Dream Warriors. I must admit even in my teen years it was my Top for a bit. But overtime Freddy's Revenge grows on me more and more

The first 3 nightmare films are excellent and all completely different as well story wise. Absolutely love part 2. Extremely underrated. The opening scene is brilliant on the school bus the pool scene is great. Freddy is really scary in this film and this is the last film with Freddy before they go down the comedy route with his character. I like that they tried something different with part 2 similar to Indiana Jones temple of doom they tried something different and it was a lot darker. The characters in nightmare part 2 are all relatable as well I really liked The relationship between Jesse and Lisa. Nightmare on elm street part 2 is great and honestly for me the first 3 are the best and if they never made another nightmare on elm street film after dream warriors then it would probably be one of the best film trilogy’s in my opinion.
Yeah the first three are super strong. I totally agree with your statement about the first three being a strong trilogy.
The Nightmare franchise is so inventive
and creative. I'm eager to see what a Nightmare film would look like now.

I'm so glad New Nightmare was where it should be. Wes hated Freddy and made a non Freddy film, cool tone but not as fun as all the others. Lots of people love it, but wheres the cool dreams? Its just following Nancys and her kid screaming at the TV lol.
Yep and nothing happens for the first half of the movie. It may not be the very worst one but it’s the most boring. Not surprised it’s the least successful one at the box office
The first one is objectively the best but we all have our favourites.
I just would have Part 4 higher than number 6, just rewatched all the movies and it’s better than i remembered. I’d actually have it top 3. It was so much fun
I have only ever seen the original and dream Warriors and for me dream Warriors is my favourite over the original any day of the week. What you said about that movie? I completely agree with you bro! I loved hearing your ranking.
