I just sold my Z3M roadster & replaced it with a low mileage R231 SL500 in hyacinth red with cream leather. Not the AMG SL63 admittedly. But not much less power or performance. It's more than enough. In fact I'm in awe of it. The fact it takes an extra 200 or 300 milliseconds to reach the legal speed limit compared to the AMG is immaterial. 0 - 60 in 4.5 is fine with me.I'm loving it to bits. I considered an SLK55. But they're almost as expensive. A great little V8 roadster, but less car for the money. SLK55 £55k new. SL500 £85k new but only £3 or £4k more second hand for the SL. And it's an almost all aluminium engineering masterpiece. When I test drove the Slk55 the engine felt special. When I drive my SL500 the whole car feels special
I used to live just off Chester road in Manchester,,the TVR Showroom was in Deansgate,,i could hear them ripping up Chester road to Manchester Uniteds ground,,,they had a rep then of build quality and being lampost detectors...
So...I owe you 2 things: an Instagram message and a road trip to Casa del JB, the Pug is ready to thrash as of last week! Owe, debatable perhaps, but I want the world to be fairly informed and it's only fair. The 981CS is still, objectively, the best car I know of, at all. The 308 GTi is...well, not. But if you're a chav who doesn't understand that
Loool you owe me nothing! Keen on driving the car though and catching up, let’s get a weekend day in over the summer (if we can call it that)! Keen to understand the Pug logic over cars like the Giulia etc 😅
@@CarsWithJB I may have written that message after some alcohol, apparently 🤣 I've got a couple of non-car weekends to book then I'll drop you a message within a week or so but I'll basically be available August/September I think! The only real logic I applied was that I couldn't convince myself to fork out 3x the money for the other cars over it, so I wouldn't say it's better than a Giulia per se but I haven't regretted the choice at least! Well, once it was fixed...
£30K is definitely not an insubstantial amount of money I agree, however this is not the point of this video. I'm seeing brand new 140HP Renault Clios go for £25K and yet for same money you could be wafting around in a 570HP W12 Bentley. This is what's meant by cheap, value for money. The amount of people's jaws that I've seen drop when I've gleefully told them that my R8 only set me back £40K. Even car guys who aren't in the know are shocked (2 of which are now in the market for one because of this), and non car guys all tell me that they thought it was easily a 6-figure car. Hence "CHEAP Cars That LOOK EXPENSIVE!"
Been eyeing up the 981 cayman S for a while though although some are coming below 30k they are either higher mileage from 75 to 80k or lack options. The AM vantage i came across not long ago and no im undecided. The AM will be a little more to insure and run though cant beat that V8 sound and looks
Good luck running, repairing and insuring it. Trust me I live this life, always running classics or old sports cars but they do cost a fortune to keep moving unless it’s an older Lexus or Mercedes, and even then finding parts is incredibly hard
@@TrustMeIKnowEverything Yes men I don’t understand nothing my father have a paint body shop for cars and also have a combustion engine degree he didn’t tell me nothing about cars you know better 😀😃
@Erad3r well he did a terrible job teaching you English. Errrm are you even talking about England? You sound like you live in America. He also hasn't done very well at his job. Does he get paid in Peso's?

You video was the final straw that made pull the trigger on the 981 Cayman, absolutely brilliant BoxEngine!
great list. The Jaguar F-Type would have been a good shout also.
Thanks JB for the informative videos!
I will appreciate it if you do videos on Hybrid cars!!
Yes do the under 10k one
Great list. But missing the F-Type 😮
no one selling an i8 for under 30k
and yet he showed two, not only that a quick google search would show you thats just not true. lets use our thinking caps for once.
yeah they are

Rs7 is a good shout i have mine over 100k miles now, and it's still going strong.
I’d have to go for the i8. So much theatre.

Thanks for drawing eyes to my beloved xf rs, a car one day I will have in the garage.

Please do the same but for under 10k
Come on, for that price point. You are only going to be buying high mileage cars, and problems ! ⚠..
My favourite vids are the cheap insurance, under 2k for 17yrs
I would not consider a 30 grand car cheap.
Than you clearly can not afford to buy a car 🚙 in the first place. Best to keep riding your bike 🚲 !....
😂😂😂😂😂 shelf stacker

No but cheap compared to their ridiculous new retail prices
I'd say the only cars worth owning on that list are the i8, Vantage, cayman and maybe the cont GT.

TVR. Save your money for loved ones. Buy a one way trip to Dignitas, a less traumatic experience.
Best hot hatch??
Those prices are not the same here 😅
you missed the best car bro, the s coupe
.... and will also keep you visiting your garage for constant repairs.
Only one there to have is the Alfa. Trust me. It’s incredible
You can get Porsche boxsters for 25k
I'm from California and these prices are so off lmao at least by 20k
Motorland have a C63 for sale under 30k give that a go
mental that all of these cars are cheaper than an entry level audi a1

i've been considering the M2 Competition recently

BMW i8 can 200mph and actually is a little expensive cause it is £70-80k so yh u can take the bmw i8 off the list
