My husband passed 11 years ago and I still have him on our checking . Our PayPal, Ebay, and Amazon accounts were all in his name and still are. I like seeing his name show up.
I did read about it before I called because I knew there was going to be an issue. My call lasted over an hour with her saying you need to and me saying why and no I don’t need to . I thought my problems were going to be with SS but they have been helpful and the bank has been a nightmare even before Brad died. Thanks for watching
Details, details! So frustrating! Like computers and passwords, things we hafta endure. You sound GOOD, Charly. Glad you're handling things well. Happy Day!
Thanks, Charly for the update. If you keep posting videos, then I will be here to watch and listen to them. Hope that you get everything straight with SS. Credit Unions do provide more personalized service than banks, especially the nationwide banks. They have gotten too big for their britches. Hope you have and had a peaceful Sunday.
Oh Charly, I’m sorry to hear you have had to deal with another person that think they know what you need to do. I don’t know why people think they can make you do something you don’t have to. I would make sure your SS check has been deposited in your new bank and then tell that bank to educate their employees and teach them a little compassion. I hope you have a very blessed day, love, hugs and prayers! ❤️🤗🙏
@@WillowsGarden I think my bank had put a hold on all SS checks coming in for deposit. I am sure it’s just some click somewhere that needs to be removed. I will get it took care of eventually. When my sister's X husband died she went to the Social Security office to get survivor benefits for her two children and a lady at the office told her that since she was not married to her husband at the time that made her not the mother of the children. I think eventually someone had to call security.
She far SS office has been helpful and on my side. It’s just that no one is in the office and you have to wait for an appointment call. I called them the first week of November and the earliest appointment I could get was December 20. So I get to tap my foot for another 20 days. 😵💫
I'll pray that the meeting with social security will fix the problem. When we had to have a meeting with them they did get it sorted out but also said it's better to come to them first because the banks and other people that interfere is where a lot of the problems happen. I realize this is totally unrelated but I have a parakeet making a nest and she has her first egg. I've been looking forward to this for quite a while so I thought I'd share. I just wanted to share some happy news. Love ya , bye.

Have to agree with others about a local Credit Union myself. We dumped B of A after decades with them when the closed the local branch during COVID and had to drive 30 minutes each way if you wanted to do anything with a face to face human. There was a bunch other stuff with formerly free service being charged for and stuff like that to but that did it.
Good Sunday Morning, Charly. I'm sorry to hear that you're having to deal with stuff (polite word) like that. Especially now when you already have a long list of things to take care of. Sure hope you can get it resolved soon. Is there a local branch/office of bank and SS that you can visit, in person, if that's the best way to solve the problem? FWIW... Perhaps it's time to go ahead and open a bank account, nearby. Even if you only deposit $25 in a checking account to start. Go ahead and get some checks printed with your name. Then, when you're ready, make the move to your new bank. While I haven't done it myself, suspect it will be easier, to have everything already in place ahead of time. In spite of this frustration, I hope you have a blessed Sunday, dear friend. ❤🙏 Give your furry friends a pat from me. God Bless. Godspeed.
Going to the SS store is not possible. I have talked ss multiple times and they do not have the people on site to do anything anymore. They do everything over the phone with appointments. When I called in early November they made me appointment to be able to get Brad’s check because it’s more and the date was for December 20. That’s how backed up they are. Most of the offices only have one person in there just to tell you how to work the computer. I spoke to a lady that explained why and what and it’s words I can’t use on TH-cam. I will get it straightened out I’m sure. I think my bank has got a hold on SS payments and don’t care that it is mine. I have another checking account ready to go when I get my phone appointment to have my direct deposit sent to. I am slowly moving money out of that bank. It’s going to be okay. I’m doing what Jesus said. Just worry about today’s problems. I am not worried just aggravated that people just can’t do their job and do it right. My next video is about selling the bikes and the constant problems with them. It will work out eventually. Thanks and have a blessed day.
@@bctruck I wasn't aware of how many that should be in those offices are working from home. Never heard of making an appointment to make a phone call. Thankful that may change in January! Do hope you get it resolved soon. God Bless.

It makes no sense that the bank sent back your personal social security check. Someone at Capital made an incorrect assumption. Does your deposit statement show two individual checks being deposited or the sum of both combined? Again, this makes no sense. This is nuts! You worked , you are ,obviously, still alive. It is common practice that a deceased individual’s unused funds go back , but where does that bank get the idea that your personal check has to go back to Social Security too? I pray that you can get hold of someone at Social Security that knows what they’re doing. Abusing widows isn’t what the Social Security Administration is about. I’m not so sure about that bank though.
I’m sure this can be sorted out. Try to stay calm as you navigate through levels of incompetence. You will get to someone that can fix this (if they don’t drive you crazy first. ) Whatever you do, try to keep your temper and not cuss at them. It’s not easy, but it’s quicker. It might not be a bad idea to contact your local state representative and ask them if they can help, or explain what’s going on. I had a situation where someone in the tax rebate system here got it in their head that I lived on a working farm. I don’t know if someone didn’t know what they were doing or mistakenly used someone else’s information in place of mine. It was a mess. My local state rep’s office straightened it out. It really is a shame that you must go through this after the worst experience of your life. Get right on it. The wheels turn slow.
