Except, the use of a darker atmosphere I don't think fit very well in this game, which is why fans hated it like the Sonic fans who hated Shadow the Hedgehog. Not that games having a darker atmosphere is a bad thing mind you (KOTOR II and TR 2013 did well), but some games, it just doesn't work.

I was so scared of the Dahaka playing as a kid but when I reached the final boss (discovering the other ending) I found it badass how the tables turn and now understanding time paradox , I find this game even better
@@abdulmohsin452 he created an time paradox by rewinding time in the end of sands of time so the dahaka is created to kill him. he was chased by him for a long time and not being able to sleep or live his life he consults the old man who tells him why he is in trouble. the old man also says that the prince ahs no choice but to accept death. the prince choses to try going to the island instead of just giving up to which the old man says that its impossible and he will have to confront the empress of time. the prince seeks to prevent the sands from being created in the past so in the present there will be no sands to unleash and the dahaka has no purpose to exist. the island of time is the birthplace of sands where the hourglass originally was from here. The place also had portals to travel into the past. meanwhile the empress forsees her death at the hands of the prince and tries to sabotage him multiple times but the prince survives. th empress initially introduced the prince as a servant of the empress afyer being rescued by him from an assasin sent to kill him who turned against her. the prince obviously starts to develop feelings for her.The prince intends to kill the empress to stop sands from being made but realizes that doing so creates them changing nothing and by killing the empress he is the reason the sands exist in an infinite loop. So he discovers and uses the mask of wraith kills his past counterpart and instead of killing the empress sends her into the present. with her being alive in the present there are no sands and since she does not belong in the present the dahaka tries to kill her (2 endings bad ending dahaka arrives after you kill her sands are created but the dahaka wipes it all out and vanishes (the sands and all related artifacts should not exist in that time) good ending you need to acquire the water sword where the prince refused to fight the empress saying that they didnt need to fight as they can change their future .dahaka arrives your sword being able to harm him you fight him). you kill the dahaka the empress becomes an ally since you saved her so she lives no sands created prince no longer needs to die. so with the empress the prince builds a ship and both leave to babylon (alone for bad ending with his amulet destroyed) meanwhile babylon is under attack by invaders (two thrones)
Because the prince didn’t see it coming ,using mask of wraith and saving kaileena means no sands of time were created and the history of maharajah found the sands of time were never happened (originally dahaka killed kaileena and sands of time created and found by maharajah)
Best game ever. Loved the character controls I had on the Logitech rumble pad at the time. The booby traps, the puzzles, discovering the weapon upgrades, the traveling difficulty between destinations and the bosses. Spent a whole lot of hours on this game and enjoyed every minute.

Still loved the game, just wished the Prince would stop talking about how Farah’s personality was a challenge and how he needed to marry her. Didn’t need or want to hear about his love life. But the banter between the two was perfect in that game. Beautiful. Warrior Within was def weird with the designs of the women, but the men were just as weird. Esp in the prison. They looked like dominators or some kind of bondage-fetish sex workers. I didn’t really mind the designs aside from a few laughs at Shahdee having a thong for armor. The voicelines the assassin women had were what made the game really weird and uncomfortable. Still enjoyed the game and would love a remake. I don’t want to have to hide my computer screen every time one of my family members enters the room. I just want to chop their heads off and then kill the guardian of time.
The ending was supposed to be Prince's doppelganger taking over and waging a war on Babylon saying "all that is yours, is rightfully mine" Check Prince of Persia the kindred blades... It was a sadly changed to the two thrones storyline
Well, even if it was changed, they did manage to accomodate it nicely to the plot of The Two Thrones, with the dagger inciting the Vizier to take over India and Babylon to fulfill Kaileena's destiny of becoming the sands of time, and with the Prince's own flaws being shaped into a separate being that hungered for all he had.

just started reading about this for the past few hours, looks like "the two thrones" went through massive changes during development, someone in another comment pointed out the working title of the game "prince of persia kindred blades", it was a whole different game and I think the prince vs dark prince part would've seemed much more in line with this ending
Its amazing that people are still commenting on this game. I played it on the Gamecube (did they re -release it on ps3?) I never played any of the others in the sreies. Anyway I remember this game being dark, gritty, hard, unforgiving and scary as hell especially when the Dahaka showed up! It was a good game and very memorable to me.
LOL this was confusing. I saw this ending 8 years ago on Two Thrones (one of the bonus clips, I think). But with Warrior Within, I killed Kaileena instead so I was wondering why the hell she was still alive.
I never got this ending, I knew it existed because The Two Thrones starts with him and Kaileena, so she has to survive here. I could never find all the seals or something for the water sword. I found two but there was like 10 along the game. :/
The best game ever created according to technology, The gameplay was awesome and the story line was what I liked the most. You have to play to get to the next clip. I want to paly it again and again, even today.
Looking back on the Secret/Canon ending of Warrior With and after playing Two Thrones, my speculation is Ubisoft original idea/starting point was to make the Dark Prince an actual separate and corrupt person resulted from the new timeline, instead of being an manifestation of the original Prince's dark persona. So instead of battling the Vizier and his army, the Prince would have really been fighting himself.
To get Water Sword you must collect all life upgrades, band then go to the Empress room before getting the Wraith Mask. Once you ha ve donne that, in the ending you get the true one(in which you fight the Dahaka instead of Kaileena, cause the monster si weakened by the Water Sword) if you don't, you just get the false ending(killing Kaileena with the Lion Sword letting her get killer by the Dahaka who selfdestroys himself).
While I didn't hate my time with the game, I very much didn't want to do it all over again. So when I heard there was another *true* ending, I just said "you gotta be freakin kidding me" and that's why I'm here

technically Kaileena is the sands itself. the sands in the medallion and the portals should not exist by this point. also the slow powers shouldn't slow down dahaka. dahaka is immune to the powers of time and space according to the novel
@@taroupriapus5202 Not necessarily. Since Kaileena is the sands, she could theoretically manipulate a limited amount to do things like slow time and create sand tornados. If that is possible (which it is, considering the game is very strongly suggesting this), then Kaileena could open the portals even though the sands don’t exist. She makes an army out of sand, her own life force. There are plenty of other fantasy characters that use their life force for abilities and powers without them needing to die to use them. Like Hunter x Hunter with Nen, or Naruto with their chakra. If you take the logic of those shows and apply it here, then it makes sense that Kaileena can use her life force, her essence as the Vizier calls it, and use it for her powers. The sands is just all of her life essence at once, unlimited in strength when opened. Yet when used in small amounts, Kaileena can do the same things that the dagger does (aside from reversing time). As for the medallion, it does make sense if what I said above makes sense. If you’ve noticed, throughout the trilogy, you unlock more abilities to do with sand the more times these artifacts are exposed to the sand. As an example, the Prince only unlocks the ability to reverse time by entering a portal. And any other time he unlocks more sand tanks or stronger abilities, it is because the medallion is being exposed to more sand through the portals. Same with the dagger of time in the first and last game. Every time you absorbed more sand either through enemies, portals, or just large clumps of sand lying around, the dagger’s abilities grew stronger. So that means that, as long as the portals are made of the sands, then the medallion 100% would be able to have those abilities. And in the first game, when the Prince reversed the Sands of Time to the beginning, he still had the dagger and the medallion despite it not making sense timeline wise. He shouldn’t have the dagger or the medallion if he’s truly back at the beginning. Yet he does. Time in these games is, as they say, an ocean. Things can exist side by side even when they shouldn’t make sense to be there. Even in the first game it was like that. It’s all a big jumble when the sands are brought into things. That’s why the Dahaka was made in the first place. To try and keep time orderly. As for the Dahaka being immune to the sand’s effects on time, perhaps the Prince is not slowing time for everyone else but instead simply speeding up his own time. After all, the medallion is supposed to protect the Prince from the sands’s effects as well, yet Kaileena can slow down time for us anyway. And Kaileena is also “affected” by the Prince despite being the embodiment of the sands itself. So if the Prince is speeding time up for himself, then it would eliminate the Dahaka’s immunity, as it is not the Dahaka being affected by the sands but rather the Prince. We already see this in one of the Prince’s abilities where he can attack people in a really fast manner and almost teleport to them when he’s attacking. Perhaps “slowing down” time is just another version of that ability, where all of the Prince’s movements are faster rather than just his attacks. I know it’s not really a good explanation, but it’s at least plausible and makes some sense, right?

He got it at the mystical cave, there is a place were u break the wall and break the sword thingies and its there. The main sword is the Water Sword, you need to get all the life upgrades to get it, btw, if you dont have it and finish the game your ending will be diferent and you will not fight Dahaka as the final the boss but Empress Kailena

just started reading about this for the past few hours, looks like "the two thrones" went through massive changes during development, someone in another comment pointed out the working title of the game "prince of persia kindred blades", it was a whole different game and I think the prince vs dark prince part would've seemed much more in line with this ending

Its amazing that people are still commenting on this game. I played it on the Gamecube (did they re -release it on ps3?) I never played any of the others in the sreies. Anyway I remember this game being dark, gritty, hard, unforgiving and scary as hell especially when the Dahaka showed up! It was a good game and very memorable to me.

I never got this ending, I knew it existed because The Two Thrones starts with him and Kaileena, so she has to survive here. I could never find all the seals or something for the water sword. I found two but there was like 10 along the game. :/

Looking back on the Secret/Canon ending of Warrior With and after playing Two Thrones, my speculation is Ubisoft original idea/starting point was to make the Dark Prince an actual separate and corrupt person resulted from the new timeline, instead of being an manifestation of the original Prince's dark persona. So instead of battling the Vizier and his army, the Prince would have really been fighting himself.

To get Water Sword you must collect all life upgrades, band then go to the Empress room before getting the Wraith Mask. Once you ha ve donne that, in the ending you get the true one(in which you fight the Dahaka instead of Kaileena, cause the monster si weakened by the Water Sword) if you don't, you just get the false ending(killing Kaileena with the Lion Sword letting her get killer by the Dahaka who selfdestroys himself).

@@taroupriapus5202 Not necessarily. Since Kaileena is the sands, she could theoretically manipulate a limited amount to do things like slow time and create sand tornados. If that is possible (which it is, considering the game is very strongly suggesting this), then Kaileena could open the portals even though the sands don’t exist. She makes an army out of sand, her own life force. There are plenty of other fantasy characters that use their life force for abilities and powers without them needing to die to use them. Like Hunter x Hunter with Nen, or Naruto with their chakra. If you take the logic of those shows and apply it here, then it makes sense that Kaileena can use her life force, her essence as the Vizier calls it, and use it for her powers. The sands is just all of her life essence at once, unlimited in strength when opened. Yet when used in small amounts, Kaileena can do the same things that the dagger does (aside from reversing time).
As for the medallion, it does make sense if what I said above makes sense. If you’ve noticed, throughout the trilogy, you unlock more abilities to do with sand the more times these artifacts are exposed to the sand. As an example, the Prince only unlocks the ability to reverse time by entering a portal. And any other time he unlocks more sand tanks or stronger abilities, it is because the medallion is being exposed to more sand through the portals. Same with the dagger of time in the first and last game. Every time you absorbed more sand either through enemies, portals, or just large clumps of sand lying around, the dagger’s abilities grew stronger. So that means that, as long as the portals are made of the sands, then the medallion 100% would be able to have those abilities. And in the first game, when the Prince reversed the Sands of Time to the beginning, he still had the dagger and the medallion despite it not making sense timeline wise. He shouldn’t have the dagger or the medallion if he’s truly back at the beginning. Yet he does. Time in these games is, as they say, an ocean. Things can exist side by side even when they shouldn’t make sense to be there. Even in the first game it was like that. It’s all a big jumble when the sands are brought into things. That’s why the Dahaka was made in the first place. To try and keep time orderly.
As for the Dahaka being immune to the sand’s effects on time, perhaps the Prince is not slowing time for everyone else but instead simply speeding up his own time. After all, the medallion is supposed to protect the Prince from the sands’s effects as well, yet Kaileena can slow down time for us anyway. And Kaileena is also “affected” by the Prince despite being the embodiment of the sands itself. So if the Prince is speeding time up for himself, then it would eliminate the Dahaka’s immunity, as it is not the Dahaka being affected by the sands but rather the Prince. We already see this in one of the Prince’s abilities where he can attack people in a really fast manner and almost teleport to them when he’s attacking. Perhaps “slowing down” time is just another version of that ability, where all of the Prince’s movements are faster rather than just his attacks. I know it’s not really a good explanation, but it’s at least plausible and makes some sense, right?

The main sword is the Water Sword, you need to get all the life upgrades to get it, btw, if you dont have it and finish the game your ending will be diferent and you will not fight Dahaka as the final the boss but Empress Kailena

What a terrible port.... the prince looks like a douche. I will keep the pc version, looks way better than this and the lightning/shadow/reflections work like they shoud.

This port was so lazy they didin't even botter to fix the UI to the new resolution. The pc version with an widescreen patch is the definitive version, this is garbage.
