    after having all the different kinds of scratchers those rail mount are the best. have them on my current BC-XRS - had the tunnel mount which were decent on the previous freeride and cable on the freeride before that.

      I'm curious why you prefer the rail mounted system now? I'm trying to decide what will be best on my BC-XRS. Thanks!

    After having torn the end off cable type scratchers both on railroad tracks and when loading on a sled I'd recommend trying something else such as the ski doo skid mounted. Also have lost a few while out on the trail even though we used loctite and tightened the hell out of them.

    That sled looks just like mine I have the same add on. Plus a few more

      It really all depends the areas in which you ride. We tend to get snow then rain then a deep freeze. It never fails and then we are riding on practically cement.

      it depends on what you ride on… (Trails,ice, Powder) and the type of machine you have

    Ski doo seems to have the most over heating issues. I've owned 8 polaris sleds and never once over heated just saying

    What style would you recommend for overheating on plowed roads? I'm leaning towards the tunnel mount seems as though they are in a better location to provide the needed snow and ice to the heat exchanger versus the rail mounted one. Thoughts?

    I'm a new Ski Doo owner. I have a 2016 Renegade ADR 600HO Etec. What type of ice scratcher should I use for my sled?

      I would recommend using the cable style scratchers on that sled

    I'm new to Ski Doo switching over from Polaris and I have a 2014 Freeride 146. It gets hot to the point of alarming out, which scratchers should I put on it? It had rail spring ones when I got it but not reversible ones, once they wore out I tried cable for the reverse option and they don't work at all. Thank you.

    The rail mount style breaks the retainer nipple off in the cold , not available separately, mine broke on second ride.

      There are some billet aftermarket options available if you continue to have this problem. Thanks for watching!

      Scratchers start at about $100 and go up from there. Thanks for watching!

    Which ones work with smart shocks? Are the XRS and Mach different scratchers?

    • @ROBERTSONSPOWERSPORTS
      @ROBERTSONSPOWERSPORTS  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We haven't setup a sled with smart shocks yet, once we do we will be sure to see if we can make something work. According to Ski-Doo the tunnel mount scratchers won't work with smart shocks.

    he acts like scratchers only purpose is to lube/cool the sliders. you know whats worse than a track kinda stuck to the skid? a blow engine cause it overheated.

    • @ROBERTSONSPOWERSPORTS
      @ROBERTSONSPOWERSPORTS  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That is correct, that is another added benefit of scratchers. Same could be said for studs as well, primary purpose is for traction but also helps kick up snow for cooling. Another thing that you can do in hard conditions is soften your torsion springs to get the snowflap as low to the ground as possible to catch as much snow as possible. Thanks for watching!

    everyone knows the cable type scratchers are far superior!!!
