    Place is so busy unless it's the dead of winter, parking is very limited at viewpoints . I couldn't even walk the Pincreek Lookout..no place to park.

      There’s sooo much to see and even if we visited once and passed thru … also once we surely missed out a lot. SLC is a nice city and a swim in the lake is a must.
      Then there’re all the NPs and state parks. Just going from one place to another blows your mind. Remember going to Bryce Canyon, passing through a rock landscape, then suddenly through a forrest and passing a giant lava field. The roads are the goal!

    • @jessiesdroneadventures7464
      @jessiesdroneadventures7464  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I would say they both see lots of traffic, but the west side is going to be lighter, mainly because there is no switchbacks, sharp turns and tunnel. it's just a regular highway, and weekdays are always best, its crazy busy on the weekends! If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to ask 👍

    • @jcarp1776

      Most of the lodging is coming from the south entrance. There are not as many places to stay east of Zion. However, the east road is much more technical (switchbacks, narrow spots, the tunnel, etc…) so the traffic backs up there more than the road from the south entrance. Zion and the Grand Canyon typically compete for the 2nd and 3rd most visited National Park in the US (Great Smokey Mountains is #1), so there is always crowds wherever you go.

    It's always nice to be visiting the national parks, specially here in California at times they are closed because of the federal government and other times because of wildfires. So when they are open it's nice to be able to visit. Like in 2020 when my cousin aunt n uncle came from Texas because we buried my father we couldn't take them to sequoia to see the redwoods because they were burning so we took them to Yosemite unfortunately because of the drought they could enjoy the park too much and because of the smoke traveling from the fires we couldn't stay long but we did get to enjoy a picnic a funny moment happened I didn't know wasps ate avocado bro this tiny wasp took a piece of avocado off my cousin's sandwich it was funny.

      I stopped at a viewpoint and he was right there droning up a storm. I asked him usual questions. Then a ranger drove up and told him it's illegal. He asked if I was with him. When I was leaving he began searching his car! Serious stuff.

      Dang, that guy has serious guts to even attempt launching the drone. Hope he got fined!

      @@Eric12358 If you'd stuck around, you might have seen him run in by the Rangers to the Park Service's splendid "Greybar Manor", in Springdale! And wearing that fancy chrome-plated jewelry on his wrists!

    All NATIONAL PARKS ARE FREE TO VETERANS. You can obtain a “ LIFETIME PASS”. I am a US ARMY WAR-TIME DISABLED VETERAN.

    Before you said "If anyone's wondering why I haven't I showcased any drone views"... I fly drones in Canada and all parks here like in the US are no fly zones. Since the Berlin wall fell in 1989, North America (US and Canada) have constructed their own set of communistic rules. All you need is some crusty old fart to complain about a drone, and voila, another restriction. Damn shame because drones offer views that no other form of photography can achieve.

    DRONES , , , If one dares to deploy one in the vicinity of NPS lands . . . then, you're "tossed in the can fer havin' too much fun, too much fun, YEAH, TOO MUCH FUN!!!!" A refrain from a song by a Satire Country & Western Rock band of the late '60's-early '80's called Commander Cody & His Lost Planet Airmen. Fun to watch the Pedal Steel dude, his fingers doing ballet pirouettes as he played.
    Ennywhoo, 'bout aircraft & NPS Facilities. Military aircraft can pretty much do as they please around Facilities, even do BUZZES if they've got a mind to. Just don't let your Wingman rat you out to the CO back on the ground . . . He'll ream up one side, then down the other! Beats Five Grand and choppin' rocks for 6 months at the Federal Farm! General aviation is pretty much ruled out, as Commercial Passenger/Freight Ships are usually cruising above the 25K' minimum ceiling. It's all about--mainly--the need for the NPS air-fleets potentially needing their airspace clear, anytime, anywhere, at moment's notice, when least expected. Then, they're worried about wildlife harassment, and drones being weaponized to commit arson, and violations of privacy. So, don't be thinking about, "TOO MUCH FUN!!!!"

    Just because you can fly a drone somewhere doesn't mean you should. You're at a gateway to a national park and you immediately have to put up your device. Let some areas just be. Condors and wildlife don't know where the park boundaries are and this is their home, not yours. Be respectful.

      I was extremely respectful, I was only in the air for maybe 10 minutes flying at 200ft AGL and then I brought my drone down, mind you this was over the town of springdale which is Class G airspace "completely legal" they actually have helicopter rides over Zion national park and the surrounding area. Those helicopters use gas and emit exhaust....they also do this multiple times daily. My drone flight left no impact on the Condors or the environment
