I have a theory that this episode takes place before bill and ben were purchased because henry would not have said "this shed is for the fat controller's engines".
1:37 Henry's tender bounced, and the art director was so excited for the show that he forgot to connect the toy model train track the right way
2:15 this goof is actually exclusive to the restored version. The original on vhs and dvd before 2012 did not have this issue. The dubbing track was slightly off from the footage they grabbed from the original and retaken film masters. As some scenes use the original master footage that syncs up. While others like here, for example, used new masters. For the footage. But the editors of the restored version cut the scene too early. Which ended up coming out like this. Unluckytug explained this in his restored comparison video.

Why is everyone making the same comment
The narrator says that Percy ran off to the harbour singing, but he is already at the harbour.
When the camera pans down on Thomas, several trucks in the background are derailed.
When Henry asks Percy “Did you like the water?” his eyes are wonky.
Before Percy plunges into the sea, the shot of him sliding down the quayside is placed before the shot of him sliding past the sign. Because of this, his facial expression also changes from shocked to smiling.
In the restored version, Bill and Ben's whistles and chuffing sounds are still heard after they leave.
Just as Percy plunges into the sea, two of his trucks become derailed, and one of them bounces.
When Percy is lifted out of the water, a workman appears to have some blu-tak on his neck.
When Henry enters the shed, his tender bounces.
During Percy's trip to the harbour, his brake van changes. Additionally, his left cylinder is hanging off.
Ben's nameplate is peeling off when Henry puffs in.
In the close-up of Percy being pushed, a reflection of a hand can be seen in the water pushing the train. Additionally, Percy's eyes are wonky.
Before Percy goes straight into the water, his brakes are applied despite his driver and fireman having jumped out. Then right about when he falls into the water, his wheels are moving again.
Percy looks cross when he chuckles about his driver not knowing his plan.
When Percy is hanging from the cranes, he is not dirty, but when he is placed on the flatbed, he is. Also, his face is dirty when he is sitting on Thomas' flatbed, but when he is sitting on Henry's flatbed, his face is not dirty.
In all three English dubs, "One Day" is spoken by Percy instead of the narrators.

I don't think that is the case here. Diesel is introduced in the next episode. He was probably delivered that night but the Fat Controller only introduced him to the other engines the next morning.
I think I know why diesel is right there because a close shave and when diesel arrived Percy Takes the plunge was a time where diesel was leaving Sodor forever until he came back

If Donald and Douglas were going to talk to Percy in the beginning what if Bill and Ben rescued Thomas from the Stationmaster's house in "Thomas comes to Breakfast"?
They wouldn't have been strong enough to do that.

You missed a goof. At around 5:28, you can see the front left corner of percys' cab is cracked.
Also, why is steam coming out of Percy's rear end at 5:06? His cylinders are at the front! That should be a goof.

Percy is angry when he chuckles of the driver not knowing his plan when he should be wearing his chuckling face. Unless if it's stock footage from another episode, then I don't know.

Since ya mention it, I didn't know that, and when I listen to it I did hear his tongue clicking and it was like 0.3 sec left before the next scene change that was probably the hardest goof you've found nice one

1:24 Actually, Percy's Promise was originally going to be a Season 2 episode, but got pushed back for one reason or another. I'm assuming they didn't push this one back because they needed to fill 26 episodes.

The same thing that happened with diesel in this episode happened to Salty in the adventure begins salty made a cameo in the adventure begins when he wasn't supposed to appear yet

In 2:35 Percy’s eye brows are completely different so that is a goof
Percy's promise was going to be in the 2nd series but it was pushed to the 3rd series for no reason.
That not actually a goof, because in the books Percy's Promise came for before Percy Takes The Plunge.

You basically forgot about The Buffers at The end of The key that leads to the ocean. This is why The crew should have done the same situation with The episode "Off The Rails".

That was very good
Goof 1 isn't really a goof, it's a continuity error on behalf of the production team. If *Percy's Promise* had been made for Season 2 then it would have fit like a glove.
Also, Percy's brake van changes twice: he starts off with a BR van, then when he goes along the curve it's a Southern Region van, then when he arrives at the harbour it's a BR van again. Also, Percy isn't supposed to have stopped by the board before the trucks push him - in the book, the trucks used their forward momentum to push him.
