  • Glacier National Park- June 7-10, 2019
    The Going-to-the-Sun Road was still closed for the winter! So we hiked around the St. Mary’s and Many Glacier Trails. Gorgeous fun trip. Highly recommend Glacier Trailhead Cabins in St. Mary’s- clean, cute, warm, and so close to the park entrance.

    Thanks for your video! I am preparing to go to Glacier National park on June 1-2 this year and don't what to wear at that time. Your video just gave me a good answer for that! It looks like a winter or snow jacket is very necessary.

      We couldn’t believe how cold it was for June! Our only disappointment to going that time of year was that much of the park was closed, especially the going to the sun road. But still so beautiful!

      @@steadventures4416 Oh. Thanks for the reply. Very informative and helpful to me. I prefer to see Glacier NP covered by snow. To be honest, what is showed in your video is exactly what I am looking for!!!

    We are planning to go to GNP same time this year but will have only 1 usable day for doing things. Grinnell glacier hike looks great, any idea if its possible to get there or is it closed? I wonder if its possible to message on youtube

    why would you fly to calgary to drive to montana? and was it skeeery after everyone left? Did you drive game all by yourselves or did you bring folks from your last trip to drive the game while you waited in the jeep with the guns?

      Eric Olson we were continuing on to banff and jasper, and returning our car in Canada. If you rent in us and return in Canada, it’s like $1000 more for the drop off charge

    What part of June did you guys go in? What was the weather like? I see you have jackets on, was the temp in the high 30s or 40s?

      We were there June 7-10. It was snowing when we arrived and continued to snow through the night. While we were hiking, It was hard to dress for the temperature, when it was sunny we were down to a single light layer, but an hour later we would get a light snow and put on our down coats. It would have been nicer a couple weeks later, more trail accessibility and the Logan pass would have been open.

      @@steadventures4416 Three years after your trip and here your video is still helping some of us prepare for our trips! Thank you! We're going in mid-late June. 18-23. I'm excited and a little scared since after much research they say the park might be closed in some areas. I guess I will be buying some thicker jackets for Montana. :)

      @@wicked.peaches.1797 so glad the video was helpful! We want to go back to do the Going to the Sun road and the hikes that were closed, but it was gorgeous to visit anyway. Enjoy the park!

    were the jingle bells some kind of bear call?

    • @steadventures4416
      @steadventures4416  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Eric Olson hahaha, some would say they attract the bears. They’re supposed to alert them that someone is coming so you don’t surprise them on the trail. although I’ve never been one to be quiet enough to surprise anybody....A park ranger asked us if we knew how to tell the difference between grizzly bear poop and black bear poop? The grizzly bear poop usually has bells in it! Lol
