Great to see more of the trail with you and Jordan. Hopefully you keep getting warmer Spring like weather but not too hot. The sunglasses swap was gracious of you. I think I would do the same for partner, but it depends what random car use sunglasses I had. Here (NE Scotland) we have hazy sun and 12C. That is good for here at early May as the sea is still cold. Perfect for a beach walk. I like the chilly sea water on my feet for a bit of the walk. Then, cake and coffee. I am not able to do long hikes or thought ground, but any time outside is good. That AT office being closed is strange. Don't they open at all at this time of year ?Good to get water though. You were a bit down in those videos where you were making the big decisions on stay through hiking or stop, but you were ok to listen to actually. Just working out your thoughts. Keep having fun hiking your way by whatever sections you get to.
A reminder that the sun and rain will eventually erase even our most hardened monuments to ourselves and others, so what we do today for others that they share with others will have a longer and more more meaningful impact than any monument we create for ourselves. Your spirits seem higher. I think you would enjoy walking the entire AT if Jordan would go with you. Maybe one day.
How did you get that really cool guidelines screen to pop up?…that’s cool. This was a really pleasing and fun section for me…I finished PA at Boiling Springs. Oo, so much fun crossing paths with subscribers.
Hey, you should contact Julie "Jester" Gayheart who does the section hiker podcast. I think you could shed some light on the why's and considerations of doing sections over thru-hiking.
That John Chambers cemetery. That guy was only 30-33 yrs. old when he died. Wonder if their guys that died in the civil war? I don't know the dates for that war though. I'm from the West I can't even remembering grade school having much history on it whatsoever since we weren't even a state yet during civil war. (Co.). Great vlog. Thanks for sharing 🥰 p.s. don't be too hard on yourself about not doing the through hike. You are what my generation refers to as a loaner. And that's okay A lot of people are loners. I just don't think you're comfortable around groups of people on a daily basis. So this Day hike works better for you. I think your husband could do the through hike very easily. I just mean he's more extroverted than you OR seems to be.💞
