    Wow Ryan, that is a lot of work and $$, but with new prices what they are I know you must be happy to have the truck in tip top shape again.

      Yes, It was a tough decision between the large sum of cash or truck payments but the new motor won out. No regrets so far

    Did you deck the block when you originally replaced the head?

      Yes, I know now after talking to Industrial and a few others that not torquing to 140ft lbs and then a hot retorque was the culprit

      Soory I read that as check not deck, No the block did not get decked at that time

      ​@@aroundthehomesteadwithsuer3497i ran through the exact same issue. Fresh o-ringed head. My block was within spec, but definitely not as flat as a fresh deck. I didn't have the time or money to pull the engine and deck it. I did do the hot re-torque. My head gasket eventually leaked. Head studs got hit by coolant, corroded and started snapping. So I got to do it all over again! This time I did the whole bottom end.
