- I am here to confirm to everyone that the iOS 8 Wave feature for the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus does indeed work and is not a hoax. You just have to set the microwave to the right amount of time.

It was a 3 year old iPhone 4S so it have been used a lot and it was a couple of degrees below zero Celsius. The weird part was that when I plugged it in to the charger it went up to something like 37-38% in just a couple of minutes. Just saying this because you thought he charged it all the way but he probably had the same thing happen to him. (Btw my phone got quite hot as well)

Cool experiment but I think the microwave just messed up the battery so it's telling you the wrong percentage.
That's what I believe as well.
I'm guessing the microwaves in the microwave scrambled the circuits and the iPhone can no longer function properly. Which is why you can't unlock it and why it can't find wi-fi or signal

although the percentage was 38% you did in fact say in the video that you put the phone on the charger.

I like using the microwave to charge my iPhone. I've an 800w one and 3 mins is 👌 to get from 20%-80%.
The amazing feature where it automatically shuts off when I dump it in water is great too. The low power mode when I'm in the shower is excellent. And I totally owned apple because I drilled a hole in my phone to reach the hidden secret headphone jack!
I heard that there's a secret way to charge your phone with kinetic energy... You wrap your phone in a pillowcase or towel and smash a big hammer down on it and the kinetic energy is absorbed into the battery. You need the towel or tshirt or whatever so you don't scratch it when you pound it with a hammer.

I use wave exclusively now, usually only 10 seconds but 90% charge. It's useful if you don't have much time and need some charge

The Best I'm talking about in general about people with iPhones.
The most likely explanation from what I see is it seems like more of the battery is dying every time you place the phone in the microwave. So while the phone is not actually holding more charge, that amount of charge over the total remaining capacity of the battery gives you a higher percentage. Hence you see it jump from 9% to other values as the phone is trying to read the battery capacity and calculate charge percentage.
Next: cook your food with a phone charger
Plugging it in after putting it in the microwave gives you the correct battery percentage. The battery percentage is inaccurate when it's in the microwave, but charging it reveals the correct battery percentage.
it actually works. Thanks man. I tried it on lowest on my microwave and for about 30-35sec. Battery was charged fast from 24% to 78%. It`s incredible! Be careful. I dont recommend anyone tries this, anything you do it is your own responsibility!

This is great, shame it only work's for iPhone. I've been after a new way to charge my Samsung Galaxy so I chucked it in a deep fat fryer for 5 minutes and it went from 9% to 100% . It actually works!!

I may know the reason behind the red screen. On my old iPhone 4 i dropped it a couple times and i got a permanent red screen. When I went to a repair place they checked it out and said that one of the cables hooking up to the pixels detached. Due to you smashing the iPhone 6 that could've caused that same wire to become loose and maybe wriggle around then click back into place. Hope i helped!

On the iOS 8 Wave Feature on the iPhone 6 that TechRax has, the battery went from 31% to 9%, 38% to 73% and now it's at 75%.
