I am a disabled US Navy vet that friends helped build my home theatre..I have an Optoma uhd 65 that is fantastic on a 150" dalite screen..I love Chris's video's on these great laser projectors..I dont have these funds, but I am looking at the Benq 4550i for $2700.00 that has 107% dci, with 3200 ANSI lumens with 4 way TI 4k chip..that will sell out...2 awards at this yrs CES...for well off people..JVC ROCKS!!!
Thanks for the video. My RS-55 recently died, so I am in research mode whilst determining which projector I eventually choose to replace it. JVC is certainly known for ongoing support and it appears they are currently in a 3-year product cycle for this model group.
Hi Todd. Great video. I have a question and I hope that you can help me. I recently purchased an NZ7. I have not gotten it calibrated yet. But I find when I access either frame adapt, one or filmmaker mode, the entire screen takes on a very bold, red complexion. Would you suggest decreasing the red gain in the colour temperature category. It’s completely unwatchable under the recommended settings i figured that, reducing the gain would be a good move. Also, when you watch HDR 4K images, are you always watching in High laser mode. Love your videos very informative. I really hope you can help me.
Is it normal for the NZ7 to emit a high-pitched squeal at 24p? It's like a dog whistle, you can barely hear it but when you do it like a knife to the ear.
@@av_nirvana 20 according to a test I just took. Its brutal, I have to get rid of the NZ7 bc i can't watch 24p. The frequency is at 32 years old on this video. th-cam.com/video/iN3PBpInNJM/w-d-xo.html

Hi Bill! Enjoy that home theater... and thank you for your service!
Great to hear the details right from the source
Thanks for watching, Stephen!

this was a great video. wish JVC put together some documentation for FW2.0 the same way they did when they introduced Frame Adapt HDR a few years ago.

Will updating the firmware undo the professional calibration I had done when I first got the projector?

How young are your ears? Could be that you’re hearing something most of us can’t. Have you captured/measured the sound?
