I also think that people should be able to breathe once in a while. The people in the coffee shop you mentioned could’ve been at another rally a different day or maybe been very active in their social media’s so I don’t think it’s fair to call them out because they were just chilling in Starbucks and probably wanting some quiet. People deserve that even in the climate of the world right now. If they had asked you guys to leave or turned you away then that’s different

It felt like a slap in the face considering they stayed and continued to buy after we explained even though there was another cafe next to it to choose from

(i am catching up on content so i'm sorry if this sounds "late") i vividly remember when michael brown was murdered and how that shifted my entire life. i was 17 and that set me in a career path of international relations, i made friends in rallies, i became aware of so much more injustice in the world. and watching you get angry and vocal about this issue reminded me of myself at 17. just always make sure to take care of yourself. i burnt out completely at 22 and ended up quitting my career, deleting my social media and stopped watching the news because it would keep me awake at night thinking of how small i felt compared to everything i wanted to change in the world. if you ever need to, take a breather. you will always be a better ally if you're well first ♡ sending love!!
