The Predator franchise is back with another heart-pounding installment from legendary director, James Cameron. No, this is not real. It was simply made to explore the aesthetic of a more gritty and serious tone a Predator film could utilize from the Planet of the Apes rebooted Trilogy.

Imagine James Cameron actually needed to drop the names of movies he's made in trailers for his new movies.
The real Prey 2 looks pretty good to me but I really liked the 'alien hunter meets its human match' element of the first Prey. Amber Midthunder's character was great and a marked departure from humans with assault rifles being picked off by an invisible predator. Members of her tribe sacrificed themselves to give her a chance to take it down - loved that ending.

No, it will be set after Prey. The old gun that belonged to Raphael Adolini , currently in the possession of Naru's clan ends up with a predator. As depicted in Predator 2 , the same predator who's old , hands the gun , dated 1715 to Harrigan (Danny Glover). So , it will not be set back in time because this feral Predator in Prey is the 1st Predator on earth. Whatever comes next will be a follow up from Prey and the movie will feature Amber Midthunder (Naru) again.

I really hope the actual sequel to this takes place more or less around the same time period as the first movie. I really enjoyed the original Predator movie with Arnold but Prey was done better I must admit.
i dont think its because of the time period depicted in the film but the time period the film was made in real life the original dates back to the 80s man CGI didnt exist or it was just in its infancy stages compared in the 2020s for prey thats a 40 year gap in technologie my man some movies from the 80s are great but they relly on great stories and acting and do what they can for special effects but it all sucks especially when dealin with science fiction subjects
