    You will have lots of fun when the ground dries some so you can learn the adjustments and use the front brush hog. Glad you and Bruno got out for a ride to the burn pile. Stay safe and keep up the fun around there. Fred.

    That is a great piece of equipment. endless possibilities.
    One suggestion. Install a spring type tether to hold up the hoses. They seem to nearly drag on the ground or possibly get in the way in different positions>

    • @johnaddis1022
      @johnaddis1022 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I agree the spring type tether will give a little when needed and pull hoses back out of the way once cleared, you could use air hose quick connect to mount the spring arm and it will swivel some adding more clearance and remove easily when not being used. Jla

    Hi Nathan. That new bush hog is a great tool. Some terrific video angles, as we’ve come to expect from your channel. One thing I often wonder when watching implements being changed over. Why don’t the manufacturers put a couple of blank disconnect sockets on the implement so that when you disconnect the hoses from the tractor you can plug them into the blanks and prevent the ends of the hoses from dragging in the dirt? Great to see you and the family are doing so well. Sad to hear that Chuck from Iron and Oak has passed. 😢 Best wishes. Stan

    Nathan this is an amazing tool. I wish my TYM dealer carried these it would have made my mowing much simpler. • @bradsgold345
    @bradsgold345 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Sorry but I need to be a bit critical. I am a retired welder that worked for a international equipment rental co for close to 20 years.
    Your Lane Shark looks like a light duty mower deck.
    First thing is the leading edge doesn’t have a hanging chain guard. Second is the sides and rear plates should be reinforced with at least 1/4 plate. With a deck like that you will pick up lots of debris including rocks. Those will be ejected out the front and slam into the sides and rear.
    Lots of respect for you and your channel have been enjoying it for a long time.

    • @williamgaines9784
      @williamgaines9784 ปีที่แล้ว

      The LaneShark is not really a mower, it is a brush cutter. The one I have is the smaller model, and it is heavy duty. The leading edge CANNOT have a chain guard or it could not cut limbs and trunks of brush. The blades on mine are not pitched to lift like mower blades, they are brush cutting blades, although they will cut grasses. Cutting 1-2 inch brush is no problem for my small model and it has cut 3"+ trees, but takes several bites(mainly because my hydraulic flow is on the low end). The hose dangling issue is a problem, the hoses need the length for the articulation and can become entangled in what you're cutting.(The retention spring suggestion in another comment is sound advice)
