This guy came off like he knows it all but as I continued to listen I'm like this dude legitimately knows what he's talking about

I'm on board with everything you're saying however I feel like the longer you're in the woods the more your scent is spread around

Big Bucks definitely cruising, small secondary trails , on the prevailing downwind side, of the main trails .🤔😇👍

When I started killing bigger bucks I also noticed I saw less deer. I dont hunt food plots or feeders, I hunt travel corridors and funnels. It just became obvious as my tactics changed. I guess its ok because I didnt really want to see a bunch of random does and small bucks. Just having to deal with a big bucks eyes and ears is better than trying to deal with a whole bunch of eyes and ears. I particularly like narrow East and West funnels that I can access from North or South whichever way the wind dictates.

I had an ol timer tell me when I was a kid. The earlier you get in the stand more bucks you'll see. He killed tanks every year.

Your exactly right I'm the big dominant Buck in my area.I let all my greedy friends and girl friends go first.I don't want to get shot or get bitten by coyotes.Just like you humans going to a bar with a bad reputation for being rowdy. The smarter human will keep their back to the wall.

How long do you wait after killing a deer in an area to rehunt that place

Depends. If it's the rut, go back in the next day.

Last year Jacob hunted the same tree the next day after tagging a nice buck and he ended up calling in a other buck down the same trail to 12 yards away but the buck never would come out go the cover for a good shot. During the early rut if you have a great wind and a doe group that's having buck activity on you better get back in there to hunt agin if the wind is good.

Until the wind and or conditions are right again.
