    Is so impressive the Tmaxx platform still an awesome design. That truck was introduced in 1999, impressive. Love the Tmaxx for me still the King in MT nitro trucks.
    My first Tmaxx was the 2000 model with the TRX pro .15 engine non wide suspension.

    Just bought a t maxx 3.3 last week started with 30% VP nitro took me a little while to get it tuned right and running at 270-280 degrees and man does she scream. Great content man keep it up buddy!

    • @GoFastRC
      @GoFastRC  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Niiiiiiiice!!! That’s sick man, always glad to hear people are buying new nitros. But 270-280 is actually a little warm for a traxxas engine, they should temp any were from 240 to 260. Thanks for the comment!!

    • @monte19770
      @monte19770 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Too hot. Keep running it at those temperatures and you can kiss your connecting rod goodbye. The way that the connecting rod is designed in the 2.5 or 3.3 will eventually split down the middle. Gotta keep the temperatures lower than that. Preferably lower than 230 degrees.

    In the summer these things always runs perfect but in the cold weather you get little problem on the tune because it’s not getting hot enough. What I do it put aluminum foil on the head and it always runs 220 to 240. It used to stay at 180 all the time because the cold.

    • @GoFastRC

    I can’t decide between the T maxx and the slayer pro. What do you think?

    • @GoFastRC
      @GoFastRC  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Both are awesome trucks. With the tmaxx it will be able to handle tougher terrain and also jump better since it won’t parachute. It all depends on where your going to drive. If it’s tougher terrain then tmaxx all day. If it’s not that rough and your not going to be jumping then I think the slayer would be the better choice for that instance

    You should be running all 12 slipper pegs. That should help it to not slip so much. Also tighten the nut down a little bit could help depending on how much you have it adjusted out.

    Is that spur gear not supposed to move freely? I just picked up a 2.5 from a guy for free. Looks in really good shape and he said last time he drove it a couple years ago it ran but mine spins like that. I haven’t tried to start it yet though

    • @GoFastRC
      @GoFastRC  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The spur gear is supposed to move freely. There is a clutch inside of the transmission that is connected to the spur gear via shaft that engages when throttle is applied. Once you fire it up, if there is a cog at low throttle that is completely normal. It is just the clutch engaging and dis engaging in the transmission. Hope you have fun with the tmaxx!! NITRO GANG!!!

    I've always been a firm believer that stopping the engine by blocking the exhaust is not a safe way to do it. It quickly floods the cylinder with fuel and is really hard on the connecting rod and piston. A much safer way is to pinch the fuel line.
