  • I haven't posted an early track for a while, although if you're into Bob's earlier stuff, most of my older uploads are from 1960-1963. This show was the debut of his songwriting skills. It was recorded on September 6, 1961 at the famed Gaslight Poetry Cafe in Greenwich Village, New York, NY.
    The original recording had a lot of hiss in it, so I cleaned it up with audio software. We're very lucky to have such an early example of Dylan's career, thanks to folksinger Dave Van Ronk, who made a decent soundboard recording of his concert that night.
    Next, I will be uploading the earliest known live performance recording. Stay tuned!

    My grandma would come to the gaslight cafe around this time. She said dylan popped in a couple times. My fav story of hers
