This deserves a big screen experience. Obviously series is a better way to adapt the novels as there is no time constrain, but they have done such an amazing work that this does need cinema for proper justice to vfx and scale

Yes this is very true ,but i am also worried as peter Jackson's made a masterpiece and I don't think that this webseries would be able to provide us with the same level of content as lotr Trilogy did

@@sandeshsingh8324 If you have already watched LOTR Trilogy, you're good to go with this series. That said, just 2 important things. Hobbit Trilogy is not that good and gets way too different from the book so it's your choice if you wanna watch it. I personally don't like that. And, as for the books, if you wanna read, read The Hobbit first and then continue with the LOTR Trilogy-then, you are free to read all the extra worldbuilding material, if you're invested in the world.

I've already completed every Tolkien's novel and it's so exciting to see some young indian people are also trying to know and understand how good this world is , A phenomenal world not gonna compare with Jk Rowling's Harry potter and other books but this world will blast them off

As a huge Tolkien fan, I'm pretty worried about it, I mean Tolkien's Middle Earth is one of the most complex and we'll written world in fiction. That's why even to this date, it's still considered as the GOAT. But from the trailer, it looks like there's so much wokeness in it and I hope that it won't affect the story, and maybe turn out to be one of the GOATed series
yess.. same here.. its definitely going to be a paradise for people unaware of the Tolkein books but not for the people who are very fond of the novels and also the showrunners do not have the complete rights and by the looks of it its just modern take on the classic story with elements of woke, diversity and stupidity.

Lord of The Rings Trilogy is the Greatest ever Fantasy Movie/Trilogy of all time,
We will finally see the back story of Sauron and the Original Ring, but will we see the back Stories of Gandalf the grey and Saruman the white, Radagast, The Blue wizards?

• GOT season 8 budget was around 100 million
• HOD S1 around 200 million
• Witcher S1 around 100 million
I hope the series is as good as its budget

But this series producers are altering the characters. Tolkien did not have black characters in his world, but this people are introducing black elves and hobbits and also Tolkien's world did not have characters performing some actions and stunts. This action sequence was a thing for which even peter Jackson's triology was criticized. So you can see this people dont seem to respect the legacy of the books, and tolkien would have hated this. Sad thing is they are bringing this series in release after death of Christopher tolkien(son of J.R.R tolkien). If he would have been alive, then these people wouldnt have dared to do such things. The thing about black characters, I am not racist, but imagine bro, white people occuring in Wakanda tribes, wouldnt that be strange. Eru's children are Elves and Men, Elves being the first children of Eru and Men(humans/ mortals) which came on later. The Valar are not children of Eru but they serve as a sort of higher angelic beings to the God. The Maiar serve as lesser angels. Gandalf was a Maiar before coming to Middle Earth in the third age. Of the Valar, the greatest one was Melkor who later on became Morgoth- the biggest antagonist of Tolkien-verse, of whom sauron was a lieutenant.

In few more days/weeks we are going to witness the adaptation of the legendary comic book ( The Sandman ) and two separate spin offs of the great fantasy books, Lord Of The Rings and A Song Of Ice And Fire. And each of them have the potential to be a great series, not some chessy superhero stuffs that we are getting lately.
Especially The Sandman, if it's going to be as good as the Audible's audiobook, the it's going to be one of the best web series ever

After reading a bunch of interviews on it with lines like "The Rings of Power isn't a direct adaptation of an existing Tolkien novel. Instead, it's inspired by the author's extensive notes" there are more chances of it being a trash.

I recommend watching Nerd of the rings. That channel is heavily based on Tolkien's world and lore of that world. Indians rarely have interest in Tolkien's literature, and I hardly see any people around here talking about that. Yaha pe chutiyo ko sirf harry potter aur game of thrones hi best lagta hai, they havent explored much for fantasy novels. LOTR>>>>>GOT cant even compare GOT with LOTR.
