For me, HOTD is not one of the best....it's the BEST series of the year! All departments of the film making: Story, character, acting, editing, bgm etc all were PERFECT!

Then that changed and he was like going to be most loved character

I would have one regret in my whole life . Why GOT markers were in hurry to end the series on season 8 ? They had best actors , CGI workers , production house , they can easily make it one of the best series and can give us season 9 and 10 as well .
There was no source material..D and D were in no mood to write their script anymore..

If HBO had fired them and appointed new writers then there was a chance.

Maybe hoD would defeat got s3-4 in later season as dance of the dragon begins in ep 10 . But yes hotD s1 is better than got s1 in my opinion.but overall got is just greatest.

History of Game of Thrones is as fascinating as the original series. Be it Dance of the Dragons or Aegon's conquest or Battle of First Men or Robert's Rebellion. It is very rich when it comes to story. But the thing that bothers me is that Game of Thrones would still be running if the producers have not fucked the show. They could have gone slow like House of the Dragons did and they could have shown a lot. There are lot of untouched mysteries which needs to be addressed. Like Azor Ahai , Motive of Night King . I believe Long Night alone had the worth of an entire season. But they wind it up in a single episode.
So the thing is due to the fucked up final season House of the Dragon can't cash in on many points.
But still I love Game of Thrones the most. I know what potential it had and what could have made of that show. Therefore when Martin Miguel Sapochnik and Ryan announced House of The Dragon I was very excited because I knew that the show is going to be a great one and I know what Miguel Sapochnik wanted of Game of Thrones as he is the one who has directed the best episodes of Game of Thrones and he believed it to have all the meat to be the greatest show ever made. He can't redeem the mistakes of David and Dan but he and Ryan can do what they wanted of Game of Thrones in House of the Dragon i.e to understand the vision of GRR Martin and thankfully they lived upto my expectations. And in my heart I believe it will bring back the Glory of GOT.
