Hi mark, I was asking about replacement battery cost on c11 recently, thanks for erring on the side of cation in your guesstimate .. It is now on their site ~ in their search bar type~ battery c11~ and you can see in the drop down menu ..£242.73 How long for if doesn't say. And I recon others may want to see this. Cheers mark, nice review.
Mark, our C11 was delivered yesterday, first impressions (for the money!) are great. I could not find out how to switch on the lights, thought we had a fault, your video was a great help! Double click the M button ...presto! cheers Jim
Word of caution…mate of mine ordered one last week and heard nothing until this week about delivery being end of May..comms with FIIDO is erratic at best…worth reading their Trustpilot reviews before ordering.. my mate now wishes he had.
Got mine in 12 days actually a day earlier DHL delivered it, got email 20 hours before hand,. Good experience, one of my best buys ever. I'd also bought an e move folding e bike from argos £245 down from £700., at £245 it was too expensive at £245 pity the poor sods who paid £700 for it and there were some, handlebar jut a piece of T shaped steel, the differene between the 2 bikes is like chalk n cheese, if they were cars the Fiido would be a Rolls Royce and the e move the old Lada 😂
Hi Mark, Thank you for the review! My question is if the power modes actually control the power of the assist or the max speed of the assist? So if I go in eco mode the assist is still there at 15mph it's just help less than in sport mode? (I ask this because for example Eleglide bikes have an assist where the levels only controls the max speed, which means if I want to go with 15mph and have assist I need to use it in max level...)
Hello. May I point out that this bike is illegal. Why. It has a throttle . It has a 500w motor. Max under law is 250watt . 500W motor and throttle bike is classified as moped that requires a driving licence . FIIDO NEED TO OFFER EU and UK specification. Your video needs to point this out. Fines by police are now heavy. Be warned
Hi Mark, looks like a really nice bike for the money. The big problem of course will be getting it fixed if it goes wrong. No UK dealers although I believe they do have a distribution centre in Poland. Also under current regulations not legal to ride on public roads in the EU or the UK. The continuous motor power (500 watts) is twice the legal limit of 250watts without even considering the throttle issue. Sadly Chinese bikes do not have a good reputation for reliability ( especially batteries ) or customer service ( which is very often administered from China by email). Sadly, if you buy one of these machines, will you be able to get spares in a year or two ? One Chinese manufacturer Eliglide has just stopped selling their bikes in the UK, Caveat emptor !!
Thanks Keith all valid points ...I've had and reviewed many Chinese e bikes and luckily no problems ever ...but get your point ...and re power ...I know it's all about continuous and peak ....but my LEGAL Bosch motor on my haibike peaks at 700 w ish and feels stronger than this ...even though it says 500 w on the fiido im not sure its giving that power continuously??? Oh well all good fun and interesting 😊 Best wishes mark
With a 500 watt rear motor - is this UK legal? I know it comes restricted with regards to speed but I thought UK law states max 250 watt rear motor. I am seriously interested in buying one of these but don't want to get into trouble with plod. Great review by the way.
Plod aren't really interested...you can have peak at 700 w anyway....my legal Bosch motor bike peaks at 750 w ....if you keep the assistance to 15 mph ...it's fine It's most likely 250 w and peak 500 w Best wishes mark
@@markpulling12 Cheers. I have ordered mine in white just an hour or so ago - ships 30th April but no idea how long it will take to get here or indeed, where it ships from.
Hopefully the laws are changing in the uk to allow for 500w and throttle ( but only up to 15mph ) its to promote electric motoring all round, hoping less motorbikes and small cars for commutes. The revue was finished in April this year, but we likely wont hear about it until after parliamentary break for summer, so perhaps around September. The 2 main proposals were the 500 motor and the throttle.
Oh my gosh, I was watching this video thinking that area looked very familiar... and lo and behold you cycled right passed the road I lived in as a teenager (Cowslip Road)!!! Small world!! Thank you for your video...the bike looks exactly what I need to cycle around Paris :)
Nice bike, shame about the handlebars! The style of the handlebars looks like something you'd get on a bike from the 1950s. I prefer more of a straighter bar. Are the mudguards plastic? Not sure Id fit them even if they were metal as I dont go riding in the rain. Currently available for about £820 which is a lot less than others who sell the same frame and spec which tend to be around the £1250 range. So what's the catch?
Hi Mark Great review thanks for that. I think I will decide on this bike as first e bike for my wife. Just one quastion about. When you ride on it,that was strange sound come on like somethink rubbing. That it was coming from e-motor or tyre rubbed the mudguard? Thanks Mark.
I was wondering if it had a lock and alarm to disable the 'on' switch and maybe lock the rear hub. It's not always possible to chain the bike to a railing. Guys could carry it away but it will be obvious they are up to no good with an alarm squawking.
@@markpulling12 l emailed fiido support and they said no theft protection !! So great if there is some (pin ?) Lock .. next step wud be the horn goes off etc if bike moves when locked. How are people finding ebike insurance ?
Hi Mark, thanks for the review. Does it have a 'walk' mode? Some bikes have it as a hidden feature amd you have to press two buttons at the same time... Thanks
Hi Mark. Excellent review on a fairly new bike where I was struggling to get decent honest reviews With the gear ratio being high. Have you rode the bike when the battery is flat? If so how was it?
That would suit me, I Might get one, I cant find what battery it takes, all info is vague and ambiguous at best. Even there own site seems to be avoiding the issue. Choosing the bike I would need to find out the cost and type and name of a replacement battery etc. You seem to know your onions~ any advise on that please?
Hi yes batteries are listed on their website under parts ...the c11 is a new machine so it's not showing a battery yet ...but I wouldn't worry too much from my experience....I have 2 e bikes at home ...the batteries ate 7 years old and still performing like new so all good....but a new battery for something like this bike will be £400 ish Best wishes mark

I've never had a problem in 7 years with e bikes etc Xx

Ebike batteries usually last 3-5 years, so that's a pretty average price for it.
