Just a quick video demonstrating how to replace the halogen headlamp bulb on an F56 MINI. No tools are required, all you need is a new H4 bulb.

It's such a handy feature! Much easier to replace the bulbs on this car than on my old Astra H.

Thanks for the video. Most helpful. Only issue that I ran into was the plastic clips for the wiring crumbled when removing the wiring.
Funnily enough I had a similar problem when trying to replace the fog light bulb.

@@Jackster I've seen someone mentioned elsewhere that H16 PSX24W bulbs fit but you have to trim some of the plastic away but I've not found a video walkthrough explaining how (and as such I don't want to mess around buying the wrong bulbs).
Correct, I bought an H16 and it didn’t fit. I think I’ll just stick with the standard fitting from now on.
can you do one that shows how to change the lights on the bottom? the foglight i think it's called
Unfortunately I don't have the Mini anymore so I can't make a video about replacing the foglight 😫 I did try replacing the foglight bulbs once, though, and it was a pain - so much so that I think I'd probably take it to the dealer or an independent BMW/MINI place to do it for me.
I did it on my 08 mini and you’re right it is a bit of a pain in the butt, i wanted to know if the process is the same on the newer models. Aw you don’t have a Mimi anymore =(
To be honest I do regret trading in the Mini, I’d love to have another one some day

Hi mate I am having mega issues trying to replace the DRL h8 bulb, it doesn't seem to come out, do u twist then pull like the h4 or is there a similar method? Thanks
Hey man, I tried to change the DRLs and really struggled too. I gave up when I accidentally broke the clips on one. It still seemed to fit in the housing securely, though, so I decided to just leave it alone at that point.
I just changed it a weeks ago, just hold the clip at the side to detached the light and the power and then twist the tight off, basically there is a plastic to prevent the light came off, so you either break the part or detached it first
Any way you could type out the name of the build here. Having trouble finding it. Might be typing it in wrong

I did the bulb change myself but the black thing closing the headlight fell into my engine bay

I'd try and fish it out if you can. Otherwise, you can probably get it from any BMW/MIINI dealer's parts department - it might take a few days for it to arrive though.
@@Jackster Well i can only just see it through a gap that too small for the cap to fit through.
Im going to try to remove the front bumper entirely and hope i dont make anything worse :)

Is it same principle with indicator bulb as ive got LED headlamps with Chilli pack version.

@@andrewgacayan4770 I think so. Replacing bulbs is something that's described in the manual - it's expecting that the owner can do this themselves. Replacing HIDs or LEDs is something they expect you to take it to the service centre for, so I expect that requires coding.
