- Following the fierce battle over boundary dispute between Peren’s Kiyevi and Lamhainamdi village on November 7 that led to tension prevailing in the area. The Lamhainamdi villagers on November 25 held a general meeting where people where altogether 14 tribes took part. While talking to NLTV over the frequent untoward incidents that have occurred quite a number of times, many villagers have expressed their grievances. Many villagers opined while they had faced the wrath because of the boundary dispute between the villages but wanted the state government to resolve the matter at the earliest and restore peace. While talking to NLTV, Chairman of the village said despite the villagers serving a 10 day ultimatum to the government of Nagaland, wherein they demanded state government to immediately withdraw ‘Biased Police Personnel’ and also lift the ‘Biased Status Quo Order’ on the area, the government failed to comply. The 10 day ultimatum expired on November 25

There is no Lamhailamdi at first place. It seems they are trying to establish thatch house in numbers in already occupied kiyevi occupation land where they have been cultivating for past 60-70 years, calling it as Lamhailamdi which is illegal as per government order 2019.

Firstly, our Government must respond quickly and resolve the plate of hatred and war before we witness massive pool of bloods in all corner.

@@theconqueror1010 Zeliangrong lands are in Peren (Nagaland), Haflong (Assam), Tamenglong-Noney-Senapati-Corners of imphal (Manipur), which is almost a size of Nagaland state. Lamhai namdi is under the jurisdiction of Zeme village *Lamhai Dungki in Peren district. So if that belongs to the Zeme's, in general that belongs to the Zeliangrong's. Dont expose your stupidity by differentiating Zeliang n Zeliangrong, we are same kind..*Zeliang is just a political term and this is not a political issue.

In Nagaland do we use the Name Zeliangrong or just Zeliang...?
This has been a confusion in my mind for a long time , because 17 tribes of Nagaland doesn't include the name Rongmei but only Zeliang .....
But I often use to hear the word Zeliangrong many a times ...
Zeliangrong would include even the tribes of Assam, Manipur but peren district belongs to Zeliang(tribe of Nagaland)people and lamhainamdi is in peren district.

Though iam not Sümi, i can understand that, Lamhainadi village are playing fishy game dragging all the tribes. Be it any tribe, if i come and establish new village crossing boundary belonging to other tribe, will they agree?
Being a non Sumi, my observation to the whole situation from the outside is :
1. It’s a failure on the govt. part to not maintain its Orders.
2. No one gives anyone free land at this day and age. It’s naive to believe that. There is a strong sinister reason underlying.
3. If the zeliang people want to really help other tribes, why not give land around Jalukie or other area. Which is peaceful . Why only in this particular disturbed land. Which is clearly on status Quo order from the govt.
4. Peren belongs pre dominantly to the zeliang tribe, but that does not mean other tribes can’t have village there. A lot a Naga tribes have their villages in different districts and states. Let’s not forget zeliang people also have villages in Assam and Manipur aswell.
5. As for the new settlers of lamhai Namdi. You must understand that there is an official govt. standing order on that land, hence everything anyone owns there is illegal. As it stands, it’s a no man’s land. Not even sumis.
6. Most important of all, every person that spoke like they are representing their tribe. No you have not been elected by anyone. Especially Sunita , you have all come there for your personal gains so stop dragging your entire tribes. Every responsible tribe leaders should ask their people to stay away from a land which has a standing govt. order, including sumis to avoid a lawless anarchy state.
God bless Nagas. No one is better. You are all the same from a common forefather.

In a simple way, we gave free land to all those village established under Peren Dist. But when we gave to Sumis they said and brought it down to under Dimapur District , that's the main reason behind.
For eg. If mokochung land bring it down to under Dimapur Dist. by establishing village by other tribe???Will they accept???? Have some common sense

This is not an issue with assam but a land dispute between zeliang and sumi. The other naga tribe instead of trying to bring a middle ground between sumi and zeliang is talking ke inch mati be nacharibo. This kind of talking will not settle the dispute but rather escalate.

@@theconqueror1010 I have watch till.the end of the video , the chairman has said there is no land for Rongmei lands here in Nagaland ,that was what he said...I think the Rongmei belongs to mostly Manipur that is Tamenlong District ....aneway what ever it is we have to mature up and solve this issue as soon as possible...

As far as I am concerned why Ao's, Chakhesang, Sangtams and some other tribes from Nagaland were giving their opinion in this very interview. This incident happened between Sumis and Zeliang tribes. So don't try to bring tribalism into this matter b'coz No one is afraid of anyone. Instead of making a fuss just remember that it wasn't the British nor the Indians nor the Zeliang s nor da Sumis, were there when this tiny piece of land was created by GOD. It's witten in the Bible dat people who try to steal others lands will vomit earth when they die and I have witnessed it myself. There4 my dear Nagalims. Pliz don't make this issue a tribalism but rather settle it amicably so that we as Nagas in General can live and co exist peacefully.
