I was introduced to Bluegrass and old time country music, when I was a young boy by my dear and late father growing up in upstate New York. The great Mac Wiseman was the first artist I ever heard. Mac was also my father’s all-time favorite. I have the privilege of traveling with my father and seeing Mac Wiseman live at many festivals around the country back in the 70s and early 80s. I owe my love for this great music to my late father, and to the late Mac Wiseman, because this is where it all started for me. The first song I ever heard by Mac was the classic, I wonder how the old folks are at home. I’m now 62 years old and when I listen to that song now, it brings tears to my eyes, as I think about my Old Home Place and my dear mother and father, who are now resting. RIP Mac, you were truly one of the greats, and will be forever missed and never duplicated. ❤️😞🙏
