Ik this video is 8 months old but i haven't gotten the time to comment before this This is seriously one of the best animatics i've seen. I've stopped couting how many times i've watched it but it's genually amazing. The slow pacing through the lyrics makes you enjoy it way more. It was a really chaotic series and you made it all work out in a 3 minutes animation, 3 MINUTES?? The work you must've put through is scary. You managed to bring out more perspectives of limited life and it makes so much sense how you brought it forward. The effects, the blood dripping after joel died, the bread bridge coming up more times to bring it all together, aswell as the explosions also appearing throughout the animation. It's a masterpiece, i love it sm!! Your style is gorgeous and the bright colors immediately drag you in!! Ready to rewatch it many times in the future, this animatic is severly underrated, keep it up!!!
the amount of detail is so so good, i could go on on but the bit that really gets me is grian's reflection in joel's blood AND the frame IN IT where he turns away??? and the lyric choice of "its a sure shot" as jimmy is set up to push the minecart is SO GOOD

I love the transitions from scene to scene, and the incredible attention to detail - like everyone on screen lighting up just before an explosion, - the determined expression on Grian's face as the other bad boys are mourning, Bdubs' eyes matching his skin, Joel and Jimmy holding hands and swirling as they fall, how well the words at the end match up to the scenes (the TIMING of the words on Tim's final death!!) Everything about this is amazing ❤

It makes him look even more badass than he already is in game. 1:17 Love Joel's little gulp as he realizes Etho is about to kill him. 1:30 Love how you showed Grian at the lyrics "Why are we fighting?" because he really did not care about Judge Judy and Executioner. I have no idea if anyone else has pointed this out but one of my favorite kind of details (idk if it was intentional but still cool). When bread bridge was blown up we can see both joel + j/timmy kind of mourning at 1:31, with joel turning away and crying(?) with t/jimmy supporting him. We see him in a near similar pose where he's turned away from the camera at 2:42 and really feel j/timmy's absence ALSO i think it was obvious but 2:35 when t/jimmy falls, he tries to flap his wings but falls because they were too tiny ANYWAYS GREAT ANIMATIC

The way Jimmy tripped on the tnt minecart and that's how he fell was such an interpretation I was waiting to see put in an animatic and you did it so well! (though I think my main one is that he pushed it too hard and followed it down that way) Overall loved it!

The expressions are great, the way you communicated the characters' relationships is great, the colors used really contribute to the atmosphere, the song choice is VERY fitting, and some of the transitions made me audibly gasp. This is great. The animation looks very simple but I really like the backgrounds and a lot of the transitions. On top of that, the song fits very well and I have to give you props for keeping up with everytime the Bad Boys changed costumes, or lives. I COULD BE ILL ABOUT THIS ONE. something about the swirling circular motif you keep repeating and recontextualizing, or the ties joel and etho/scar and grian have from past series' contextualized so well here narratively, the pacing and rhythm of everything... oh MAN I coukld probably gush about this for longer but it made me want to draw so I will do that this is SO swag I WILL be rewatching. bad boys my beloveds
This-- this-- YES. Just YES. Your style is so addictive to watch. The colors, the transitions, the emotions, it's all so perfect and cohesive and distinctive. I don't have enough adjectives! I love how you often have the characters silhouetted (matching the lyrics) and how colorful the characters are relative to the background. It makes it super easy to identify who is who and also brings a lot of life to the scenes. And the clear heartbreak between Joel and Etho when they fight, and the sadness Joel feels over Jimmy's death-- chef's kiss. My favorite part by far is 2:50 when Joel dies and through the dripping blood we see part of Grian's horrified face. It's such a sneaky and unique way of setting up the scene and that makes it hit even harder. I have so much more I could say, but then we'd be here forever. Just know that you are an extremely skilled animator! I'm definitely subscribing

i have consumed an unhealthy amount of life smp animatics and HOLY COW is this up there ohmygosh. the character design for all of the bad boys is insanely amazing, i love the little details you’ve put into everything (workbooks and piercings especially ‼️), but joel’s is INCREDIBLY good 😭😭 the way you so fluidly animate action is pure talent!! i could go on and on about the colouring and transitions and the EMOTION but that’d take me literally all day to compliment this enough ❤️❤️ 10000/10 love this so much perfect (my favourite) choice for characters i could die over this
I already said how good this animatic this is like a month ago. Just letting you know, I watched it so many times since then, and still rewatch sometimes. it's done very good, I keep turning back to it
I would think it be a really good idea to remake the life series but from a more thematic perspective. Like take inspiration from the story the lifers made and write a new story with themes and the events of the life series. I guess kinda what Shakespeare did with his plays.

I COULD BE ILL ABOUT THIS ONE. something about the swirling circular motif you keep repeating and recontextualizing, or the ties joel and etho/scar and grian have from past series' contextualized so well here narratively, the pacing and rhythm of everything... oh MAN I coukld probably gush about this for longer but it made me want to draw so I will do that this is SO swag I WILL be rewatching. bad boys my beloveds

This is amazing and underrated, I love thIs!!!
This-- this-- YES. Just YES. Your style is so addictive to watch. The colors, the transitions, the emotions, it's all so perfect and cohesive and distinctive. I don't have enough adjectives! I love how you often have the characters silhouetted (matching the lyrics) and how colorful the characters are relative to the background. It makes it super easy to identify who is who and also brings a lot of life to the scenes.
And the clear heartbreak between Joel and Etho when they fight, and the sadness Joel feels over Jimmy's death-- chef's kiss. My favorite part by far is 2:50 when Joel dies and through the dripping blood we see part of Grian's horrified face. It's such a sneaky and unique way of setting up the scene and that makes it hit even harder.
I have so much more I could say, but then we'd be here forever. Just know that you are an extremely skilled animator! I'm definitely subscribing

i have consumed an unhealthy amount of life smp animatics and HOLY COW is this up there ohmygosh. the character design for all of the bad boys is insanely amazing, i love the little details you’ve put into everything (workbooks and piercings especially ‼️), but joel’s is INCREDIBLY good 😭😭 the way you so fluidly animate action is pure talent!! i could go on and on about the colouring and transitions and the EMOTION but that’d take me literally all day to compliment this enough ❤️❤️ 10000/10 love this so much perfect (my favourite) choice for characters i could die over this

I would think it be a really good idea to remake the life series but from a more thematic perspective. Like take inspiration from the story the lifers made and write a new story with themes and the events of the life series. I guess kinda what Shakespeare did with his plays.
