Out of all the Life Series members, Martyn has the most cinematic style editing and even though I watch his videos far less often than say Grian's, I still enjoy them for their dedication in storytelling.
Also Impulse, I'm not sure when he started it or if it was always a thing, but I'm pretty sure he also is doing 'cinematic editing' If my memory serves me right I think he took inspiration from Martyn? but I could be remembering wrong
also before martyn places the cristal in episode 8 there is another scene where the shadow complains about scott not planning on killing someone as the boogeyman man
Grian has made a statement that he is not going into it any further. He wanted to do the lil evo sign on the secret keep just as a lil easter egg to EVO. Nothing more.
I noticed that when Martyn died once in I think 3rd Life, he had the same kind of rasp saying "Are you kidding me?" I like to believe that was not Martyn but said eldritch horror entity that plagues all the Evo 'survivors'.
This is really neat, and useful for people who doesn't have a list of all the timestamps and the messages(totally not speaking about myself here hehe). May I add some that you have missed? it is such a nice thing truly that martyn is so dedicated to a story line he made for the life series that only affects himself because it makes for a cool story then solely being a competition

They'd have no reason to treat him any differently than any other watcher (albeit a newer one) until after he joined the game, his motivation for which and dislike of the other watchers was more about what they were doing to his friends than anything they did to him (source: the lore streams)

It is clearly associated to the watchers because : 1 It has the evo sign on it, wich is a watcher leitmotif 2 it speaks in rhymes, just like the watchers do (when you reroll) And guess who is giving the task ideas ? C!Grian didn't like the idea of torturing his friends so he joined in the games to make it more fun so the Watchers couldn't consume as much negative emotion. Pretty sure Martyn said this on his lore livestream after LiLife but I don't remember the timestamp
0:39 reminded me of hermitcraft s9, doc's things playing in the perimeter every day/night about if you made the goat proud proud or something along those lines
Martyn explained it in a Lore Livestream. Basically from what I know every time a player loses their red life according to lore they receive a fracture. It breaks them. Always in a place significant to them and that season (such as Martyn in 3rd Life. He died and received a fracture on his cheek as a tear for his King.) Now when you _win_ a season it fixes one of those fractures. It protects them. The fractures are even used to explain the absences of some of the players. Sometimes someone receives a really _big_ fracture causing them to need to rest deeper and longer than the others to heal. All the players (except Grian) are really just falling endlessly in that void you see. And in-between the seasons of the Life Series they are just falling, healing from their fractures enough to continue. They dream of their other servers like HermitCraft and the Empires SMP to do so. Crazy deep stuff!
