I watched the new Star Wars movie the other day and as I was watching I could help but think that the purple haired lady (Holdo?) reminded me so much of you! You would 100% suit purple hair!
Gah Red Rising has really piqued my interest! Definitely in my 2018 TBR! I'm currently reading Name of the Wind and really enjoying it, hard to believe it's been ten years. We need number three *cough* heh.
Omg!! I saw Alan Baxter speak at Supanova Sydney and he's FREAKIN AWESOME. His twitter is hilarious too!! I hope you love his books, I'm yet to read them. :D
I read Turtles all the way down two days ago. I was apprehensive of reading it for the same reasons as yours but it surprised me and I think it's really good
Such cool books! I'm very intrigued by the new B&B retelling and wanted to add it to my tbr but couldn't find it anywhere on goodreads. :/ maybe i was just being dumb, idk. The His Dark Materials is a huge favourite of mine so I hope you'll enjoy it! The La Belle Sauvage was a pretty good one as well, tho the ending dragged a bit in my opinion. But it is set entirely prior to the events of Northern Lights. It's about how Lyra ended up Jordan's. I think it's the trilogy itself that will finish with Lyra being a grown woman. In fact, I think the second book is gonna be set at the time when she's in her twenties.
It's always cool when you talk about Australian books 'cause I don't really hear much about them elsewhere. I guess it's because I'm British and so I mostly hear about British releases and then America kinda dominates everything else.
For the Enchantment of Ravens, I really loved it because it was so immersive and beautifully written but I also admit the plot isn't very strong. The story had a lot of potential and could have been better BUT my enjoyment of reading the story made me give it a 4 out of 5 stars.
Love the art in A Darker Shade of Magic, also a book I'm hoping to read in 2018. Wow!!!! That Rothfuss book is gorgeous! Agreed, the original Vicious cover is nicer :P Autoboyagrpahy is a must read for me too! Great haul! -Bre
That copy of The Name of the Wind is amazing omg
Jay G I want that copy!
May or may not have paused the video to buy it...
