People nitpick about every little detail on the planet. This doll is awesome for the price it is. I waited so many years for a company to come out with a good guy that looks close enough to the movie version. I got my tots good guy in February 2019 and I couldn’t be happier!

It's kinda shady that they switched to wire if they are still advertising that it has ball joints on the site. Thanks for making this video, and letting us know. The hair is so hit or miss. I've seen people get dolls with perfect hair right out of the box, and people that got matted undulated hair that looks way worse then the one you got. I was so worried about the hair, but I lucked out and got a good one. I got one of the second batch Good Guys with the corrected logo placement, and mine definitely has ball joints. I honestly wish his body was made of plastic so he could last forever as foam turns to dust over time. I've seen some people make stuffed cloth bodies for him. I still love him, due to the fact that ToTs was able to use the original Child's Play 2 face, hand, and shoe molds. That's the reason people are blown away by him when they unbox him. Because they are looking at the actual face mole from the film.
My Chucky got great hair. it was too long so I cut it and now he is great. I could cut it even shorter to make it more movie accurate (Child's play 1) but then again... there were so many dolls used in that movie and most of them have quite different hair cuts so it all boils down to deciding which haircut you prefer for your Chucky. The foam body is intact on mine. No rips so far but I agree with you... I believe this foam will turn to dust pretty soon... I hope it won't but I fear it might. As for the wire body... I re-checked on the TOTS website and they definitely updated the info and now state that the Good Guy doll also has a wire body. The wire body is great! Very sturdy and my Chucky stands on his own all the time. Plus the wire being thinner than the ball joints, also affects the foam less as it occupies less space inside the foam so it lowers the risk of tearing of the foam with use. The wires are very sturdy and allow you to bend his arms and legs the way you want them to and they stay in place.
The face is actually based off of the Child’s Play 1 face - but because MGM own CP1 they had to use the Child’s Play 2 branding. If we get a true CP2 face mould version I’m on it straight away.
@@kaneclarke4825 There are *two different* Good Guy face molds in Childs Play 2. The one Andy carries around with him which is the one you see for most of the film, and the second Good Guy face mold in Child's Play 2 is the one you see in the Good Guy doll factory. The same one you see printed on the boxes in the factory scene which is a *Recreation* of the original Child's Play 1 Good Guy face mold, but it's not the exact same Good Guy face mold from Child's Play 1, and the recreation was the one ToTs was able to use.

I've been wondering for years and years why there never was a true replica of the Good Guy doll because the design is so amazing.
You see lots of them in the films so you think some boxed props would've turn up here and there, but I've never seen one.
Also the flowing hair makes it look more alive I think, rather than it being sculpted plastic hair.
Me too! Been waiting for decades for them to release a 1:1 prop replica from the movie and now, finally, they did just that! Chucky is amazing and since I filmed this video I have also fixed his hair and it is now just like in the movie!

Yes the hair is very important, needs to be just right. I'm watching other unboxings and the hair really varies from doll to doll. I want one too now! I want the builder helmet and other accessories. The ultimate Xmas gift to oneself 😄😄
The helmet is super cute!!! Mine came with slightly longer hair so I cut it just right and now its perrrrfection!

I have the second batch that came out and I love it. I don't feel any bubble joints in mine. Mine came with long hair and I recently cut it because it was bugging me. Now when I move him around like holding him upside down or give him a shake, his hair acts more like in the movie and his hair stays but looks more fluffed out which really looks great.
I just had to exchange mine the store where I bought mine was super nice about it cause I noticed right away when I took him out the foam had a giant rip. I exchanged for the same chucky good guy cause I like him so much but worry about foam holding up. He will be for display only

So I just purchased this same doll!!! He’s amazing. My only complaint is that the wig is so cheaply made and barely glued on… I’m shocked they didn’t sew his hair onto the scalp like the mezco small versions. Did you do anything different with his hair? Any tips and tricks will be amazing

Hi Julian. Since my Good Guy has a wire body, he has no joints so there is no clicking with mine. But perhaps the earlier models (that were made with the ball joints) might have some clicking? Not sure though, as I do not have an earlier model.
So mines is an earlier model. Hmm good too know. I wonder how the wire version feels. Is the foam holding up a lot better on yours. There are a lot of people’s good guys that rip due to the foam

Seed of Chucky rocks, you know how it is, the haters are going to hate and some people just don't get Chucky. Don't care about them, it's a great film and I couldn't agree more, a great installment in the story. How are you liking the new series? Thank good guys it's got Brad Dourif in it. It's just not Chucky without the great Brad Dourif. This replica is fantastic with the only annoyance that they didn't get a voice module. I would have liked to know if there were good guys batteries in the back or an actual battery compartment behind the clothing. If it's empty then that would be fine as long as it's there..... it would mean of course that...........................

Bride of Chucky was alright but was starting to suck 'cause they changed the rules of the voodoo stuff for their convenience. Seed of Chucky was downright cringe bro, I'm sorry. They completely removed the horror and logic. I mean first of all, Glenda/Glen came out of Tiffany's V at the end of Bride. How the heck would he be "Made in Japan". Also the animations were so cringe. It's like a different show at that point and Chucky's just a cameo in it. The installment was so cringe, they had to imply that the whole thing was just a movie in their universe (Chucky Series). While we're in the topic, Chucky (series) is also mostly terrible. The only thing that made me watch was the lore (which also didn't make a lot of sense) and the cameos from the original cast. The main cast were all terrible actors. I have nothing against lgbt, but damn, these kids don't know how to act. They're just so bad it's like they're being forced to be in the show. Well anyways, that's just my opinion. The doll looks amazing btw. Cheers.
