For years, it has been rumoured that somebody has been going out late at night, correcting bad punctuation on Bristol shop fronts.
The self-proclaimed "grammar vigilante" goes out undercover in the dead of night correcting street-signs and shop-fronts where the apostrophes are in the wrong place.

A few years ago I pulled up next to a member of the Pagans motorcycle gang at a stop light. In big letters across the back of his jacket was "PAGAN'S"

Punctuation is a lot like personal hygiene; ignore it all you like, but don't be surprised when people draw their conclusions.
Example 1: Just try leaving out the comma next time you tell someone, "I'm sorry, I love you."
