I have a serious soft spot for Skoda and the cars that they produce. Having had a long term Octavia back in 2020, I was very excited to get my hands on the RS version with 200bhp and 400nm. Best of all, I think for the money involved, this is pretty good value.

About time cars included a dash cam port. saves having to buy extra kit, trying to run and hide cables and then connecting wires to more wires. Btw is the VRS lowered, as had a LEON FR and did find less comfy climbing in and out, hence Suv pref.

Picked up my new VRS TDI 200 4X4 Estate a few weeks ago, pretty happy with it so far. The 4 wheel drive system is a good fit with the diesel... I noticed your car didn't have electric tailgate, I'm in England and it was standard for mine 🤷‍♂️ Your seats look better though! UK spec is cloth 😊 Keep up the good work man! 👍

@@NobbyOnCars Yeah as Renault seems to be predominantly ditching diesel I think I may well have to defect to another brand when I decide to change the car. There's a new Kadjar out next year and tho it'll use the same platform as the new Qashqai it's uncertain as to whether there'll be a diesel one as the the new Qashqai is petrol only/hybrid. As the current Kadjar is only available in petrol form unless you buy a second hand one at which point derv is available I don't think it will be an option in the new one.

My dad loves Skoda's old and new, his dad use to have Skoda's when they was known as a cheap car that everyone use to joke about...now look at them. My dad is looking at something called a mobility car because he's quite sick and is doing chemotherapy so he struggles driving manual cars because of it ((I sometimes take a taxi and they are automatics most of the time and it is weird and I can tell it will take a while for me to get use to)) So because he struggles driving manual cars he can get a mobility car and might get a 2021 Skoda Octavia, but I've convinced him to get a petrol vRS model just so we can get more car for the money and its faster with good fuel economy. Cant wait to get the car though, our current car is a 2010 Ford Mondeo with 125bhp....so coming from a 125bhp to a 245bhp Skoda vRS is a big jump..

SOFTWARE FUCKED and really annoying . Along with the Golf 8 the software in the Octy is soo buggy, Most of your user controls are in the touch screen. @@NobbyOnCars Hi Nobby , the software is the latest version. If you look at the Octavia IV forum on BRISKODA, you will see the size of the problem. Many threads on the infotainment system with a petition to Honest John and to Skoda UK to fix the prob. My car is going in for a week at the end of April , one problem is the sat nav telling me im 5 miles away from where i am. If i was un-fam with an area and took the directions from the system as i recently did. I would have turned into oncoming traffic. Read the forums. They will get it fixed and people shouldnt be put off the car as as i said its brilliant.
