    Celestron AS-GT mount here... Oldie but goodie !
    Had sorted a few things and PA with NINA. Got a relatively heavy scope 115/800 triplet and a DSLR with a guider and a Svbony 305 to go with it ☺️
    There are places it jumps and jitters to like 2 ... But after it calms down I saw low 0.4 secs total RMS. This was done with 0.5 and 0.2 secs exposure and 0.9 aggression and 7000 duration on both axis.
    Have fun! ;)

      yeah this high signal guiding is really working on the avx and the eq6r..ill never do those 2-3s exposures again

    Hello, great distillation of Astrofarmer teachings (great fan here). A few questions: 1) Do you unbalance RA east heavy? 2) Is your AVX stock? 3) Is your mount PEC trained? Thank you.

      1..i try to but its very stiff in the RA so its hard..2 yes all stock...i use predictive PEC in phd2 so i let it handle PEC and not the celestron software

      @@easyastroimages5818 I see, let me say that in the last days with a few modifications I tried your settings and I improved my guide dramatically. I have also discovered that you need to let predictive PEC run at least for two worm cycles to learn enough and start guiding properly.

    Well-scripted and delivered - bars. I've got a slab of aluminum that just might become a SXS mount.

    Thanks for this. I use an EQM35 mount and was getting similar results. Started with your settings and started tweaking from there. Down to 1" total error now after the first couple of images. I think the dither in RA only may be the biggest boost but plan to play with the settings. For now though back to taking pictures with improved guiding.😀

    Hello. I don't know how you get that orthogonality in the axes, my AVX never reaches the south pass, the graph (red line) is at about 120° and my guidance oscillates between 1.4 and 1.10, I have rarely had it at 0.60. Please guide me with this. Thank you.

      lots of fussing with the avx and then going through the process. it is slightly annoying

    at over $1,000 and Excellent tracking ability, the AVX is NOT lower class/end

      With the pricing of everything it’s hard to factor in cost

    Hello, does dithering in just the ra help with keeping the Dec steady?? Thank you.

    • @easyastroimages5818
      @easyastroimages5818  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes sir. In a perfect world Dec shouldn’t even need to correct. So it’s nice to eliminate that and take extra movement out of the equation.

    Can you polar align with a guide scope

    • @easyastroimages5818
      @easyastroimages5818  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It’s not ideal but if you have it aligned with your main scope then yes

    Could you help us set up NINA? it's so hard, I own the AVX and the wifi module and the SC6 with a hyperstar. There is a way to dither and get better results. Help, best regards.

    Man that movement on your AVX doesn't look good! Mine sure doesn't do that.
    Great video!
