This is scary! This can happen to any of us out here in the US and they'll continue to get away with it because of qualified immunity. Innocent people have lost their lives because of their stupidity and no one is held accountable and the taxpayers are left to pay for the settlements. This story is getting so old and has to stop.
How could they get it so wrong? Because they don’t pay any consequences when they screw up. The taxpayers pay. They don’t respect our rights.
If you can't trust them with knowing how stairs and floors work, imagine them with a gun. Geniuses!
The craziest part is all of that commotion they made at the WRONG DAMN APARTMENT could very well have led to the actual criminal being alerted to the presence and escaping 🥴
Had the same thought.
There really are no situations that cops can't make worse.
As soon as that fucker told her "stay off your phone for the time being", would've been the exact moment she should've been looking for a good civil rights attorney!
He wanted her to stay off her phone, because they didn't want any evidence they cannot control the narrative of, before it hits the public.
Is that what police call a knock warrant? Before 6 am a sleeping person suppose to realise what they heard and get to their front door in less than 4 seconds.
I also can’t help but notice that police didn’t even try turning on the lights in the dwelling they entered-relying on their flashlights instead. Was this to elevate the level of fear? That’s what it does for me.
Why did the cops never pay attention when Elmo taught them to count?
The police aren't paying for the damage... The citizens are. We always got to clean up their mess, and pay for it. Damn piglets!
"We have a search warrant so we will explain it all later". WHY the hell dont they teach them to read and look at the name on the door before kicking in the door and most of the interior doors. If it was me id sue them for millions as id have to build myself a bunker to move to so i could feel safe !!
This wasn't a mistake it was breaking and entering, false imprisonment, and assault
Too many courts have disagreed with that, unfortunately. They'll be lucky if the city pays to fix their door.
This Could've Been Deadly, How In The United States Is This Happening Everyday SMH......... It's Amazing You have to go to school for years to become a lawyer and a judge just to learn law, but to ENFORCE THE LAW You Don't Even Have to Know all The Laws???? How The Fuck does that make ANY SENSE???????
It’s really bad when your local police department hires police officers who can’t count to two.
Meanwhile, Tim's down stairs destroying all the evidence 'cause he heard all the commotion up stairs.
She even said, "Tim from down stairs?"
But the pizza delivery guy gets it right all the time
The absence of any forethought or basic common sense of these so-called "officers" [highly questionable] is pathetic. "Serve (ourselves) and Protect (ourselves)." Woe be unto us, the public.
That must have been horrifying.
I love it stand by we have to figure out how we're going to cover this up.
End qualified immunity now! Why does the tax payer continue to have to pay for poor training and egos?!
Incompetent.
If you know you have the wrong apartment, why handcuff the mother and search it??
They're hoping to be able to charge the occupants with a crime.
And they should be looking for new police officers because they should have been fired charged and put in jail themselves
Why are they searching her home after they found out it isn't the right place?!?!?!? These guys are monsters
They are trying to find anything that could be illegal. Then they can say look these people are not innocent.
yup
Maybe all police should do a mandatory year of pizza delivery so they can learn how to find the right homes.
As soon as she said the neighbor downstairs, he should have checked the damn address
Its called police incompetence. The good thing is that they didnt kill anyone this time.
Goes to show you the ignorance of cops. That's how stupid they are because they don't even know the law themselves abolished qualified immunity and hold them accountable for their actions
Amazing how the pizza man manages to find the right door yet police can’t.
