In today's guitar lesson we learn how to play "Fragile" by Sting with a complete breakdown and playthrough, with a tab, at the end of the video. I also give reactions to two live versions, one with Yo-Yo Ma at the 2002 Winter Olympics and one with Stevie Wonder, both moving in their own way. This song features an intoxicating guitar part and solo that we break down note for note.

This video is a beautiful visual guide for an epic song, and "play along" is the most organized, clean, clear, easy to understand this song... think this is best one I've ever seen! on fragile... Thanks MT! You Rock like a One Man Orchestra...!
Thanks Dror! That's great to hear. It was a great request you made!
I was looking for the best tutorial out there, and I found not only that, but also a great explanation and two awesome interpretations, thank you very much!
Greetings from Honduras
Wich guitar are you playing in this video?

Thanks!

Glad to hear that, it’s such a great song!
Its Mormon Tabernacle Choir... Orchestra played in salt lake city
With everything serious going on in the world atm, this is fitting to learn. Thank you for making this lesson. Learned the first part of the whole repeated thing tonight
As far as the lesson itself goes, this is also exactly where I'm at.
The bossa, which I love, but never tried before, added to reading the playthrough, (which I suck at) then trying to do it on the guitalele, about made my head explode though.
But the diad thing is exactly what I'm puzzling over right now, and you bring out a song that's using them. And also leaves me plenty of room to add junk eventually, and ruin poor Sting's beautiful song.
This thing is also stupidly fun to play, probably because he isn't using chords that make me want to die.
Btw- That's great you're going out and doing stuff. That's great you're moving/traveling, but your instruments are going to freaking hate you adjusting between going back and forth.
I'll try to catch your live stream live this time. :)
Gracias 😊
Hauntingly beautiful tune which rings so true to our time. The lesson makes it feel way more accessible than I had thought. And I love that you brought in versions by yo yo ma and Stevie Wonder. I for one am always digging through different versions of tunes I am learning; and this experience of viewing these version through your eyes was priceless. It really elevates the learning experience. Well done, sir!
Well done and explained, Nice to see interpretations from other musicians
Excellent lesson! Loved the comprehensive approach!
Great lesson, well explained and delivered. Thanks! Loved the live versions at the end!
Flamenco, not Flaminco!
Yeah, I studied flamenco and Spanish in southern Spain, then I studied flamenco for five years at USC with Adam del Monte!
