One thing to note about his final trace, is that aventurine will give a shield to the whole party whether they have a shield or not, also as a quick tip, put him in the center of the team instead of the end of the team, because that way he's more likely to get hit by blast attacks, and when aventurine gets hit he gains 2 stacks of his talent instead of only one
Hearing him keep complaining about the aventurine boss when he clearly didn't even pay attention the boss's mechanics annoyed the crap out of me.

Yes. 2% crit for every 100 above 1600. Max is 48% so you want an additional 2400 def.
3.3-3.5k is more than enough (and more realistic for f2p unless you have Gepard lc)

@@kwayke9I use trend s2 its the worst lightcone for def stats and still hit 4k defense. 4k is the bare min for him 2 piece knight help alot and you not gonna need crit body or damage orb for sustain
As someone who has so far only gotten by with Gepard, Aventurine is like having finally unlocked easy mode.
I just finished Swarm Disaster thanks to him and it was the easiest thing ever
Swarm is simple enough, the real question is how well does he perform in high conundrum G+G, to which the answer is pretty damn good.
This is what im a little worried about, I really like and want him but dont want it to become too easy . But i heard in higher content you can get close to being one shotted but im not sure til i get there

I also finally completed swarm! Nice to know it really was just a sustain issue since I only had the free 4*sustains before
@baronsionis6855 swarm is WAY harder than GnG, run preservation path Gepard or aventurine, use the transaction strat and you win
His synergy with Ratio and Topaz is insane. I love it when characters who actually know each other, work well together.

@@SUPERsourbum I play mostly for trying out and playing with new units tbh..I rather have 10 units somewhat built than 2 or 3 godlike units or need to keep switching artifacts between units. Building teams that can auto things is also fun.... I like putting my units together and seeing that the cleared floor 9 or 10 on auto....if that doesn't work, I try another combination.
I honestly don't find MoC fun at all, it is a pretty much a big dps check and it always adjusts to the latest units released.
TO ME** HSR is a chill game to pull for new units , play around with them a bit, farm relics, and so on. Let's no pretend this is a "super deep game with amazing strategies"...what really matters is your artifact luck, the units (light cones and copies ) you got and what is the unit they are trying to make you pull for now.
2k defense is really bad. You want 4k minimum for shield strengh and 40% additional crit rate.
Add in speed boots, and youll be good to go
It's not even like 4k def is difficult. Aventurine has the highest base defence in the game.
What’s crazy is his aventurine only had 2k def and was still able to solo sustain the second half of floor 12! He’s actually great if he had 4k def I doubt he’d take any damage

Well the first limited Preservation unit was in 1.3 albeit she didn't have shields. I don't think Fu Xuan is going to be the only Preservation unit who splits dmg n reduces it as her gimmick. I could see us getting a another limited Preservation unit like Wind or Lightning who'll do Aventurine job but much better. Maybe not for a while though, I give it half a year.
If anyone power creeps Aventurine, it'll be Diamond. I don't think they'll have anyone do it other than him.
The satisfaction of not being paralyzed by those damn Luofu Robots was more than enough to make it worth getting him, everything else is a bonus

just a tip for you guys, if you plan on using aventurine the optimal build for your other supports is also defense since it reduces the damage taken it makes the shield last longer

@@Argenta_Rosa Generally speaking, a mix of HP and DEF is better than overfocusing on one or the other (and obviously you don't want to sacrifice other useful stats either, like Spd, or Atk on Tingyun), but with Aventurine (or any good shielders) having more HP does absolutely nothing when his shield is up (unless you're an HP scaling healer/support) while DEF increases the shield's tankyness on top of being still useful even when you lose the shield
im not joking, i have 4.9k def on avventurine and maxed all his traces, and he does very well! His shield is really strongg

@@Belarhosme in swarm disaster difficulty 5 with my aventurine having 4k defence with plus 20 blessings only for Kafka to pull out an SMG and shatter the shield on my silver wolf and killing her instantly in the process who had full hp😃....

Try the Dr Ratio/Topaz/Ruan Mei/Aventurine follow up team, it’s definitely something, and the team Aventurine was designed for.

The aventurine boss fight is very annoying, but with a full defense aventurine you basically take no dmg even from his big attack
Couldn’t beat moc12 for the life of me. Had the damage, but my units would die alot which is very frustrating. Now with aventurine that is not a problem anymore
One thing about Aventurine in MoC 12, you can roll dice again using dmg ults and when you win the bet you get back the energy. That means for example if SW can use her ult you can auto or skill and then your ult after to roll a dice 2 times, the same apply with Pela, Aventurine. FOllow up attack also count so if you have Topaz you can use kill into a dice mark with proof of debt and numby will attack again rolling the dice twice. Also you can speed up your units if you have bronya or sparkle sometimes is better to let them get hit but speed your dps or other unit if is single target and don't have dmg ult so they can act again and roll the dice again.
moga you always make me question who i wanna pull for. i’m currently pulling for jingliu because she’s one of my fav characters but after watching this, aventurine is so cool and is such a good support. idk anymore 😭
Who do you have in ur account? If u have FX and another sustain then u don’t really need aventurine imo
From a gameplay point of view Aventurine is definitely better, as DPSs in this game don't take long to be replaced by someone better and supports have more longevity in the META

i recommend you to raise basic attack too it really adds up and in total deals quite a lot of damage
For the Aventurine boss fight dice follow-up attacks also work against them, you don't just need aoe skills.
The thing is for Aventurine, is that because he self buffs with his defense and his second best option being S5 Concert for Two, it's very easy to hit the 4K defense mark with the right subs. You quite literally can go CDMG body with 2 or 3 def% main stats. Tho personally, I'm going for CDMG body, spd boots, def% orb, and def% rope
Ngl I felt kinda nostalgic because I was remembering when I fought adventurine for the first time and I was so lucky to have an aoe dps and loucha that has an aoe ult
I got 4k def with 2pc knight and 2pc fua and got 70/150 crit as a free to play. He has been an amazing sustain and has carried me throught the difficult Aventurine boss and moc. He's definitely a must pull if you really struggle with survivability and want to lean in on a bit more damage.
currently have him sitting on 5.4k def, hsr has been cozy recently
Lightcone is soo good i have crit damage and imaginary damage but i still have 4100 def
He's a really comfortable sustain unit who lets me auto some of the harder content in the game without problem. His synergy with Ratio is also a huge win, since he's my most well built DPS'.
Currently mine has 3.5 def in sub dps build with cd body, spd feet and img dmg. I was lucky enough to roll a lot of def% substats (excluding on the planar) but idk if I should go for full shield build. His dmg is good addition but isn't game changing or anything and I used to have luocha so my team always at full health 😂 His shield rn is okay but since he can't heal like fu xuan, I always have mini heart attack when I can see my team hp going down even a bit
I find it so funny that so many content creators go straight into MOC 12 without having cleared the story first and have no idea what Aventurine as a boss does lol using those Acheron ults for the dice was painful to watch haha
You don't even have to finish the story quest. You just need to have the ability to click and read.
What happen if you try fight aventurine boss again with acheron silverwolf/pela sparkle and fuxuan as sustain?
You still win easily, I did it with E0S1 Acheron, Silverwolf with that event LC, Pela with S4 Pearls and Fu Xuan with S5 Trend, just save up FX's ult for the dice phase, her ult hits everything on the field so it's a easy max roll unless you are incredibly unlucky, the main problem honestly is Silverwolf, but anyways, if your FX is build well she can sustain just fine against Aventurine boss
The preservation path with Aventurine is the best.
Jing Yuan is actually one of the best pics for this boss! I tried a dr ratio team and then dot team but failed in both, then my last option was jing yuan and he easily finished the boss and so fast too!
You can save your unit if you save your ult. Use basic attack first to roll the dice, while the dice is rolling use the ult and the points you get in the second roll will be added to the first roll. But sparkle doesn't have a damage type ult which is bad HAHAHA

Just commenting this now before i forget later into the video to confirm.
But anytime Aventurine generates shields for the team, by his skill or talent, the entire shield CD resets back to 3 turns. So even if its 3 turns after your last skill was cast, if you get 7 blind bets and he does a followup, it just renews the shield and gives more shield strength while its at it.
This is why you basically never use his skill unless the enemies are hitting way too hard. So thats why maxing his basic isnt bad either, since you already should build him as a dmg dealer, with all the free dmg dealer stats he gets.

One suggestion against Aventurine boss witb ST units is to save support Ultimates for the Dice phase as you can generally win against Aventurine with 2 dices (1 Basic + 1 Ult) and he recharges your Ults back up as long as you win the Gamble, it's obviously not guaranteed, but it generally works well.
For Acheron supports specifically although it's a waste to use Ults on the Dices instead of the boss, at least the debuffs still stack Acheron up, and when the Dice phase is over her stacks go back to the boss. FuXuan can block the Imprisonment as long as you have her 1-time resist up, and Aventurine can also protect supports from the Imprisonment if you build a decent amount of Effect RES on top of the 50% he gives with his Trace.

If you bring fu xuan on the 2nd side there is no rng on the dice roll stun part, since she can block the cc everytime. I run adventurine on first half and fu xuan second half.
Honestly I'm happy that I got him..and a lynx, so now I have better healing characters I can use!!

But seeing him be willfully uninformed and continue to complain about it when he could fix the problem is the point where it's no longer enjoyable to watch.

I have a question: i have 3.7k def with geppard LC but when i get hit it goes to around 4.6k and when i replace def orb with img dmg orb my def goes to 3.1k and on hit ut goes to 3.8k
What setup should i go for, currently on first setup cuz my crit does not cap with that 200 def remaining , i think maybe a little overcap on def aint bad or should i change if someone can reply
Overcap on def ain't bad at all, the whole point of an aventurine build is to focus as much as possible on def, the more def the stronger the shields

One will be the best Shilder in the game for a long time while the other will easily be replaced as soon as a new Ice DPS is released so I would go with Aventurine

One of fu xuan' major traces prevents the entire team from getting CC'd so during the dice roll phase if everyone does a single attack and Fu does her E to refresh the CC block everyone will be safe from his imprison
What if you use aventurin+fu xuan together?
Yanqing is surprisingly good against the aventurine boss (especially with aventurine shield)
I would use Pela over SW for the Aventurine bossfight. You can save her ult for the gamble phase which should guarantee her win. She's gonna get her ult again anyway. And if your dps has aoe in their ult, it is okay save it for the gamble phase. Their ult on top of their aoe dmg skill will guarantee their win.
I love Aventurine. He turned my most hated enemy (the gatekeeper) into my favourite enemy. Like the guy keeps trying to CC my Aventurine and failing miserably. Then he spawns these fish robots that do a little damage (barely damages my shield...) to my entire team which basically means free shield refreshes for everyone. xD
At one point while fighting him, he still had 2 fish alive from the last phase of his, then Ratio's ult triggered him again to spawn 2 more. 4 fish out, acting consecutively giving Aventurine 5 points each time and getting his FUA very fast, with Ratio's ult active and his FUA getting triggered by Aventurine's FUA.... It was incredible. I didn't even need to do anything. :D

The problem with aventurines boss is that u want AOE characters to deal with the dice, buts he’s just a single target guy, it would have been better if hoyo made him like the deer
There is one type of team I put him in and I don't have Topaz, so I will wait until the official announcement regarding rerun banners comes. If Topaz is too close in the future Gambler has to wait until his rerun.

u can ult the dice, dont worry it's gonna restore energy when u won in rolling dice.
Those 4k defense is not only for his 48% free crit rate, it is also the sweet spot for a beefy shield. It will feel much better if you can get his defense to 4k.
Heads up y'all. If a character has a "bonus" ability doesn't mean thats where they are strongest. If he is a sustain unit his main role and most important over anything else is can he sustain. Answer - yes. The bonus is nice if you happen to have those units but wont make Aventurine worse omegalul.

tbf i really think that if it was Fu Xuan in Aventurine's place in that last floor she would die, so in that kind of situation he really is probably better, and he does more stuff than just dmg mt, so yeah, he is a pretty good unit.
If she is built correctly she survives easily. There is no rng on the dice roll stun lock since she can blocked getting stunned upon the second dice game. I run fu xuan on second half and adventurine first half since the team always gets cc'd on the second half with him.
@@DRealLoveI think what he means is when all of them lost the dice and they all got hit fuxuan would’ve probably got one shot cause majority of the dmg would’ve went to her especially if her ho wasn’t at max before that attack
I use Texture S5 on my Fu Xuan (a free lightcone from Herta Shop) and she easily kept the team alive and healed back up and she also has an aoe ult to break all the boxes so vulnerable wouldn't apply to her unlike Aventurine Ult which is RNG to proc so Fu Xuan prolly still sustains good against this boss
You can also use her skill during the box phase cuz her skill applies cc resist to all allies for one time so they wouldn't get imprisoned or atleast vulnerabled so they take less DMG = Fu Xuan takes less dmg
You prolly don't need Fu Xuan ult to break all the boxes, you just need to press her skill again and have her equip something that adds more HP/All Type RES (Texture/Day One) so she can prevent everyone from getting vulnerabled and a good built FX would survive the big hit.
Fu Xuan still is probably the better sustain for the Boss cuz even tho Aventurine has a 50% Effect RES, it's still incredibly risky if your DPS gets crowd controlled unlike Fu Xuan since the Boss debuffs everyone in one attack and Fu Xuan resists that debuff on everyone with her skill and her ult is also aoe.

I find the concept of a raising video rather amusing. I don't see the logic in waiting until a character releases to farm their traces except in the case of Black Swan and Gallagher since you have no choice in the matter.
I guess eitherway you find yourself stuck in an endless trace farming cycle with only 2-3 weeks available in a patch for relic farming.

Honkai star rail is when you want Crrit and it rolls only into Def and then you want Def and it only rolls into Crit
Shouldn't you be using Pela anyways over SW? Pretty sure Pela is just more valuable to Acheron overall if you have e2s1

The problem with the Aventurine Boss is that it is completely RNG and a big character check, since:
- It can keep spamming the Dice challenge, which makes you waste turns in MoC
- Even with AOE you can get screwed by RNG and still lose
- None of the F2P support options have AOE other than Pela in her Ultimate

@@WAIXER Effect RES isn't something you can count on if you don't have at least 50%, and even then you can still get screwed.
@@Truck-kun11 As long as you bring AOE units it should be fine, if nothing else you can even bring a Serval or Herta and use their skill (if you are 100% FTP Never pull)... or even PSHY MC . If you are a long term player you likely already have good options to pick from.
I'm not a big fan of the fight, but it is not "omg how bs" at all.

both fuxuan and aventurine are great , I got both and I'll probably never pull for another sustainer anytime soon
I think fu still outclasses him insanely tbh… he’s good and very solid for MOC, pure fiction, and very lucky runs of sim uni but fu will always be better for me when I really, REALLY need her (sim uni or fights in MOC taking more than a few cycles)
you dont need that many eff res. on aventurine as long as you keep his shields up you can get a maximum of 50% eff res. you only need def and crit dmg, his crit rate is also not a problem because in one of his traces you can get high crit rate if you have high def

Aventurine doesn't relly replace anyone - Fu Xuan would stil be better for mono quantum and Gallagher can remoce debuffs.
