1:08 E1 is 30%~ increase, wheras the lightcone gives 20%~. But the lightcone has the added comfort, which is important too.
The LC provides EHR and defensive stats, which are very good

love him he is hot and amazing, i am gonna use him in easier content or into Fireweak. into non fire weak he is just a hot healer with no offensive utility
But Huo Huo is still the best offensive sustain in most scenarios and in general
with her 40percent ATK boost which is amazing in dot teams with Ruan Mei
if played well and built speedy she can cut every units ult rotation by a turn, still good if u cant play her optimally

Btw the deer is wind and lightning resistant so that also affected the clear time
The real showcase is that any team is viable with Ruan Mei
Hey heads up, the deer has lightning and wind resistance. The reason why black swan did poorly there is because she was doing only half of her normal damage.
Huo huo is 20 times better then fu xuan in dot cause of the atk increase and cause dots can’t crit
Guinaifen really helps with dot team elemental coverage. She gives a vulnerability debuff so you wont get diminished returns from def shred and res pen, and her ult detonates burn to help stack arcana faster. Unlike Sampo and Luka, she doesnt need eidolons to do so.
Just wanted to inform u that def sherd doesnt have diminishing returns as it is a exponential dmg multiplier whereas something like an atk boost or dmg boost is linear, res sherd does though
Def shred has a cap of 100%, it just doesnt suffer diminishing returns until the cap. However, it is considered the same as def ignore in the damage calculation. E0s1 Black Swan with the dot relic set already ignores 87% defense at 7 arcana stacks during epiphany. Silverwolf or Pela can only add the remaining 13%, the rest is wasted. Meanwhile Guinaifen can use the resolution lightcone at s1 to give 12% def shred on top of the 21-28% vulnerability.
first of all, unless u have more than I00 percent def shred there is no diminishing returns, same with res pen I forgot how much in detail but under 30 point something percent res pen it's still good, not to mention how rare res pen is.
(also e1 Kafka has a 30 percent dot vulnerability so u can make an argument for Pela)
Idk why u brought up Res Pen into this, but yhea guin is better than Pela by some small percentage in dot teams(aka kafka+bs) if u don't have Ruan Mei.
@@sleep_something_something Its a Black Swan video, so I was speaking in the context of her on the team, and Ive already gone over the def shred and how she doesnt really need more. As Ruan Mei is the best support for dot and gives 25% res pen, if you dont have Kafka or run without a sustain then Guinaifen not having it becomes relevant, since Ruan Mei brings you so close to the soft cap.

I remember thinking "Wow, how busted is Black Swan," but then I also switched out Ruan Mei. Had that "Oh... Ruan Mei is a heavy lifter," moment. Black Swan is still great, love DoT/Nihility, but all praise Ruan Mei. She just makes everything better.
I just use my blackswan kafka combo with guinaifen, it's so satisfying to see triple dot in MoC.
Unfortunately it's kinda unfavorable in this ultra defuffs because it slows the enemies :v (still completed within 5 waves tho)
If ur BS is with Kafka Asta should be enough by a metric ton, RM just makes it not matter even more
Ruan Mei is literally best support for dot teams considering her buffs apply to dot, also Huohuo is the best sustain since she gives a little more energy to black swan to be able to use her ultimate more
From what I understand, Ruan Mei is BS+Kafka BiS harmony character.

At first I didn’t like dot at all but I pulled for black swan cus she’s one of my favorite characters so far and now I can’t stop playing dot. It’s just so fun and the numbers in sim uni are just insane.

Another day, another Ruan mei showcase
Kafka's dot detonations also each add a stack of Arcana, so her ult and E both add multiple stacks. The synergy is wild. Any dot proc also adds a stack, so in sim universe on Nihility path all the resonance dots proc before Arcana does, adding several stacks and leading to the funny numbers. Planar farming has never been easier (or more hilarious)
Once you start those DoT stacks, you get addicted.
Sparkle going to be that unit whos gonna be busted for DHIL. I think. Ruan Mei Definitely a insane damage booster i dont regret getting her e2

Not having kafka i was a little meh about getting her. Didnt think id win 4 50/50s in a row. So now i have a 5 star i need to wait for another kafka type unit or wait for kafka in a yr haha

question for star railers...does BS do more dmg on Glamoth? i have mine built on EHR set and shes doing MORE than enough dmg
Ehr set is better/more dmg but people go glamoth cause it's easier to farm, if u can hit 160 then glamtoh is better by 2 or 3 percent but 160 is pretty hard and not recommended unless u hav e1 houhuo and ruan mei
Other reply was pretty accurate.. if you can get over 160 SPD then Galmoth hedges it by like 1%, but generally, the EHR set is better for her, but most don't farm that set specifically, both for efficiency and it's not great for anyone else, since ATK is still better for other DoT units, but as always, stats > sets.
Ehr set is marginally better BUT glamoth IS WAAAAAYYYYYYYY more valuable to farm for

I got her to E1 cos I recently pulled Kafka.
Been using her with S5 EotP that I max enhanced.
Then did 5 single pulls on LC cos I still don’t have any dance dance dance. And got her LC and a dupe Welt LC😂

I don’t think Kafka is that necessary for Black swan. I used BS Ruan Mei tingyun and fu xuan and 36 star MOC
She isn't necessary, no. I've seen people crank out crazy damage with her as a hyper carry or with E4 Sampo. TBF, her and Kafka do complement each other very well, but doesn't make it mandatory.
Ruan Mei has filled her list as be one of the the best character in game 💀

its almost like every single dps ever uses those stats...
she also has a 50% forward advance, is sp possitive (which ruan also is but sparkle is a front loaded sp generator while ruan is a back loaded one)
not to mention she gives about 60% dmg bonus and 100% crit dmg, hell on a f2p build (shop lc) she gives basically as much dmg bonus as bronya, and a lot more crit dmg
sparkle is quite literally the best harmony buffer, i said ruan mei is the best harmony overall because she offers break efficiency which gives her survivability purposes (even tho Sparkle's frontloaded sp generation also gives survivability since the support will be able to use their skill mote often), but in terms of buffing Ruan is close but not quite the level of Sparkle, especially because Sparkle has turn advancement one of the most broken things in the game, her crit dmg buff also lasts between turns so she would be buffing characters like Dr Ratio and Jing Yuan (unlike Bronya), hell the multiple tcs have already confirmed Sparkle is indeed the best buffer in the game in terms of raw power alone, Ruan Mei is still more versatile overall (dual dps scenarios, which really arent that good but hey iyw jingliu and blade are a good combo, and dot teams) but in terms of the better buffer it's Sparkle, mainly because she provides more raw stats compared to Ruan who provides pen which really depends on the enemy you are facing rather than yourself

Moga your dot team is over saturated on debuffs silverwolf plus swan on Def down is diminished returns plus the random debuffs from the current moc when you swapped Ruan out you essentially just did a 3 character showcase with no buff

What frustrating about dot to me is not anything to do with it effectiveness more so how limiting they made it compared to other mechanics/playstyles in the game , like with follow up atks there are not only a wide range of characters from different paths who utilize it, but ideas for team comps that revolve around it can also range you can go classic himeko herta or ratio topaz if you really want a throwback you can go clara and march 7th , you can also plug in clara or othera like xeuyi w himeko and herta or what about the 6 team party of topaz jing lun a sustain and buffer plus numby and the thunder god ?
With dot not only are the majority in nihility but pretty much any team thats want to fully utilize it have kafka and black swan and you can make dot teams without them but they will always be just a lesser dot team. Then if you just added them
. Do i think dot is bad ? No not necessarily.. i do kinda wish each dot had a bit more unique traits to differentiate themselves with just for a quick example what about if bleed also increased basic atk dmg on effected enemies or wind shears giving you advance movement percent based on how many stacks it got stuff like that so each stood out more then just all being exactly the same except for the smallest details that barely change how they work
