I am currently stuck with a wind orb because it has like 8 speed and 15% EHR on it and she runs so much better with that speed. I'll be saving atk orb from now on though 😅🤞
ruan mei is the best harmony for black swan because, ruan mei delayed enemy turn by a lot, and everytime enemy got delay, they got more arcana, and arcana damage is multiplying in every stack
Moga Huo Huo is better for dot teams because of her Ult that can battery and buff your team, and Ruan Mei is better than a 3rd dot unit for a Kafka Black Swan team
I have both huohuo and fu xuan. Even though Huohuo would be better for DoT teams, she always makes my team run out of skill points cos of how powerful some enemy attacks are. Fu xuan is just skill and Base Atk and you’ll remain sp positive
if a DOT character has 100% chance to place a debuff you realisticly only need 40-50EHR (guinaifeng)kafka less so because of 30% bonus chance in traces. 65% chances to place want 100-110 effect hit rate (black swan/ sampo) so her trace asking for 120 EHR to give you dmg bonus is cash back on a stat you HAVE to invest in anyway.
For building BS mostly wrong, it was still a neat showcase. The effect hit rate on BS is really supposed to be 120% since in endgame 65% base chance needs that much ehr to ensure application, which you saw by how enemies sometimes didnt have it when they spawn in. Meanwhile kafka is ok with as little as 29%, so there you went way overboard. Especially if you use her with ruan, wind orb is way overkill, since she gets 72% all element dmg from having 120% ehr anyway. Fu is more or less a complete waste on a dot team, since crit doesnt really do much. Much better to bring huohuo or lynx for the atk% buff.

Black swan is such a hit or miss... Like I have Kafka, Sampo, Gunaifen, Pela and thats it.... Ive the strongest team 1 and the other team is struggling... While the Black Swan team also struggles with speed because of the enemy turn mechanics... Running out of turns.... Maybe I'm just ranting but when the damage happens, it happens like crazy... Like CRAZY CRAZY

you should use huohuo not fu xuan(fu xuan crit rate buff is useless, but huohuos atk energy and even speed from the messenger set are much more useful) especially in pure fiction where the enemies dont deal that much damage
you could consider one of Kafka’s now best teams to be HuoHuo (atk buff, heals, and ER), Black Swan (for obvi reasons), Kafka, and Ruan Mei/ Tingyun/ Guinaifen! i think Ruan Mei works the best for the team amongst all and HuoHuo as well! since Fu Xuan gives crit stacks and DoT doesn’t scale with it! just thoughts and hope you consider got god mode!!! :D
I use Fu Xuan with them because it’s all I have, she’s really comfy and there’s that one light come that applies burn when she’s attacked (niche but still an option)
Kafka detonating DoT's doesn't make them go away, it just counts as another trigger of said DoTs. For example, if an enemy has 5 stacks of windsheer and Kafka detonates that, they'll take the damage but they'll still have those 5 stacks of windsheer, so when they're turn is up they'll take that windsheer DoT damage again.
It's such a struggle for those of us who keep missing Kafka to pair Black Swan with anyone (": Sampo works.. ok-ish but I feel like she doesn't shine unless you have Kafka
Nice one! I would def reccommend the luka light cone for pela (or even silver wolf) at S5 there's so much def shred and it raises their support ability even more. Also the 120% EHR is really good since 1. The Damage Bonus 2. Arcana stacks are just straight up guaranteed

If she's over 160 speed, Glamoth's actually edges it out a bit still. And Talia is the worst set to farm for TB power efficiency. But yes, under 160 speed Talia beats others by like 2%.
it has a bis(*) to it, it's best technically but getting the set is not very worth the farming or the fragments honestly unless you desperately need and cannot get enough ehr for 120 or something
you can also only skill with black swan every 2-3 turns and still stack the same amount of arcana (like you convered in her kit). I'm pretty sure I noticed that her def shred doesn't need to refresh every turn?

Calcs showed that for black swan, unless you have around 154+ speed, it's much better to go atk boots. 120% ehr is minimum and atk sphere is recommended especially if paired with ruan mei since that's like 140%+ dmg bonus. While atk is what you want for dot characters, speed is as much of an asset that can be put on the same level as ehr.
here we go again...( btw people should really start considering using a atk orb in a ruan mei team more, most of the time its better plus easier to farm) I20 is very necessary it's worth the dmg boost also u need around I56 to guarantee her dots on 40 res+ enemies ( IMO dot units are harder to build cause u need speed + atk + a very specific set + sometimes effect hit rate) her e2 is VERY mid at best pf is too ez for it to be good e4 is GODLY and I once even got a one-turn ult with it s3 eyes is better than s5 tutorial yhea u first need I20+ ideally I30 if mid-maxing, 3500atk I35+ speed, also ATK orb is better in a ruan mei team + she gets a shit ton of dmg boost from her traces
I feel like welt would be very good on her no kafka teams. She is very much dependent on her stacks of arcana. Pushing back enemies while she stacks it. Of course her ult makes it so enemy turns don' t reset it. Welt can easily help her keep up with stacking. She can stacl up to 50 if I can recall. BS, Welt, Ruan Mei or Guin, and a sustain While Kafka can do well with Sampo, guin or ruan mei, and a sustain Of course, we all know her best teammates are with Kafka and Ruan mei.
My account that's BP+daily pass only finally cleared up to Conundrum 8 with her and Kafka.. VERY strong hitting team, I think I might not get further because even with getting a lot of remembrance and propagation cards, I don't have any way of CCing enemy, and I have to run Fu Xuan and Bailu to keep them alive. That was doing the "capitalism" dice run.
120 something effect hit rate is good for her since it affects her arcana chance. Base is 65% but it become higher as you build effect hit rate. So it scales twice. In her passive dmg bonus AND chance for her debuff to work. For 100% chance to apply arcana on any enemy you would need 157 effect hit rate so 120% is good middle ground.
Moga casually getting DOT god pieces and going "eh, it's a solid piece" while using also relics that obly have like 5.4 crit rate lol. This man's standard is a mystery not even Nous can calculate.
Swan is busted, I just started playing Honkai 2 weeks ago, managed to pull Kafka & her LC twice before she went away then my luck snapped for Black Swan, I managed to get her E2 & her LC & Guin to E6. I already have a decent DoT team & the numbers from it are insane. I can’t imagine how good it’ll be when I pull for stronger DoT units.
You almost made the best possible DoT team in the game right now; the only difference is that Fu Xuan's crit rate boost doesn't do anything for the team. Huohuo's Energy regeneration and ATK boost will do much more!
help guys how to open the dot relics? i just finished main quest from liangzhou ship or something the massive chinese themed ship but i didnt see that relic set anywhere on the map
Imo the last p.f run was kinda scuffed, shoulda kept ruan mei with dot that put hua hua instead of f.x, then he coulda put bronya with jingliu on team 2, to be fair for a first try run it wasnt bad, def need get e.h.r body & ball & chain set unless get some godly e.h.r. subs.
Def should replace FX with HuoHuo, HuoHuo's whole kit helps the DoT team, while FX only really keeping them alive. Also Ruan Mei is amazing with JIngliu, but it would go better if you put Bronya with her since Jingliu can use all the buffs Bronya gives, unlike the Kafka Dot team who would MUCH rather Ruan Mei tan Bronya.
for Pure Fiction 4th stage there, i suggest take out Fu for HuoHuo, since she actually does more for you with enough and alot of healing and cleanse as well as energy and atk, and then you go maybe Tingyun or just a random DPS really, BlackSwan+Kafka by themselves are enough to clear it at 40k. 2nd side you can do usual Ice Team, or Herta + Himeko for the 2nd half, even with half well built, they both actually can clear it at 40k too
GO EHR Body ASAP and ATT Sphere... also if you go Pan-Cosmic ( her best in slot I think ) it should help as well to reach that 120 EHR and you get 25% ATT as well so its a win win there. Hope this helps to other Black Swan havers as well cuz a lot of guides don't say this and they just build her wrong and its a shame !

You can go triple dot, but really if you cant use ruan in your dot team, replace her with asta. Still gets a chance to apply burn, while giving tons of speed and atk% which are basically all you want on dot chars.

This. Unlike other debuffer, her base chance is not 100%. She needs the EHR to land debuffs.

You can run Sampo and black swan as a team and it destroys moc and then leave the the rest of your dot team for kafka

that's probably why they reran kafka right before lmao. there are 4* alternatives (e4 sampo, gui's burst, e6 luka) but ofc none compare to kafka

The effect hit-ret set is better for her, in link rope and orbe. It should make it easier for you to stack effect hit-ret on her with atk chest.
Pretty sure youre going to want that EHR chest piece to max out her damage bonus.

I agree. This is how I built my Swan. I thought it was gonna be tough to get to 120 Ehr but I did it even with trash relics and eyes of the prey lightcone

Yeah, it's the standard F2P setup for her and it works just fine
You can go triple dot, but really if you cant use ruan in your dot team, replace her with asta.
Still gets a chance to apply burn, while giving tons of speed and atk% which are basically all you want on dot chars.
