Honestly, the bootleg is so well produced that I would take it at discount price over the real thing at aftermarket prices. I had a bootleg NECA figure of Altaïr from Assassin's Creed for years without ever knowing it was a fake. I found out one day after comparing it to a friend's and realizing the face looked much better on his. That tends to be the one part that's most noticeably worse on these, is the face. But hey, Jason's got a mask, so that doesn't even matter for him.

What’s with people in the comment section refusing to believe one is a KO release, just because they’re identical 🤔. Are they getting butt hurt because they spent much more for something that you can’t really tell the difference with?? It truly doesn’t make sense why people get on the defensive without reason. It’s uncalled for! I’d like to see them take time out and upload a video to TH-cam for everyone else’s benefit! To cut straight to the point, I saw your video and decided to go with a knockoff (I rarely do this) and it’s perfect. I’ve looked at them side by side with a friends official one and we cannot tell a difference really. He paid £30 and I paid £10. So that’s roughly $8. Thank you for the video 🙏🏻

I buy a lot of my figures in Japan when it’s too costly to import them, and I’ve noticed that many NECA boxes are sealed with round tape instead of square. Why would that be? Does NECA seal off the boxes before shipping or does the retailer do that?

I make dioramas for them and Modify them. The Chucky one I made him busting out of the Good Guys Box an turned out pretty cool.

I have some fakes. I just display them with the alternative heads etc. It's getting harder to tell. The print on the box is always faint and the figures hands or limbs are really loose.

Out of curiosity, does Walmart sell NECA figures? Someone on mercari is selling this figure and so I asked if it was authentic but they said they weren't sure bc they bought it from walmart.
They do I got a part 7 jason from Walmart and it was genuine but still full price (45$)

I have nightmare on elm street 1 fake,and the paint job is horrendous on that face. They refunded my money and let me keep it though ,which was nice.

Mine is real but on the upper chest it's black like they painted a little extra on it which is fine by me
If it makes the figure look better I dont care lol. I use the fakes for customizing and thats the only thing good about the rereleases is they update them with new paint.

I think you miiiiight be splitting hairs with this one.
Colour of the boxes do change colour depending on where they are stored and paint jobs between figures are NEVER the same.

There's no actual evidence here that proves one is fake.
There is usually a tell such as extra writing or lack of writing and there was non of that, but SLIIIIIGHT differences which there always is anyway on everything.
I think you might just be trolling people and spreading paranoia among collectors.
I am a collector an would never troll people. I've gotten this one from the same company I got ones that are horrible. The newer figures have been very close to the real. I always say I am showing what I received. This figure was purchased from the same place I got the mafex spiderman an that's 100% a fake. I tape what I receive an people can take it for whatever make of it. Thanks for watching

Depends on if you want the real or fake lol. Fakes are from china on ebay, amazon, wish, alibaba and Aliexpress. The real ones you can buy directly from Neca on Ebay and Amazon or shop Walmart, Gamestop and Target.
Walmart and Target carries them in the media department
I Know for a fact that there are Chinese bootlegs, but for example in this case, how do you know the one that you say is fake is really fake? Because it cannot be just some differences while applying the paint or while printing the boxes???
I bought this with 2 other fakes from the same company an recieved a refund because they were fake. The other figures were Predator Jungle Hunter, and the Mafex Spiderman (Videos Coming soon) both fake and I mean you can really tell lol. So unless they sold me 2 fakes an 1 real but I highly doubt that. They said they were knockoff though. Just giving what I've been told by the people i purchase from. Thanks for watching

I have an real Pennywise action figure Bought from different country (China), I got An Bootleg Jason Voorhees 2009 action figure in Philippines, Yet The boot leg Jason have good Quality, Movement, Doesn't fall off, design good.
on the other hand pennywise almost have the Jason boot leg i have good Quality.(no) Movement fast.design good.Yet the body parts falls off Easily soo much

It's always hard to tell because when buying directly from China it is a Bootleg most of the time. Now a days the Knock offs are a lot better, they are getting good at their job lol.

Guys, this video has fooled me. After watching this, I bought one on aliexpress and the my bootleg one looks terrible. These 2 are totally real neca. Do not buy fake stuff.
Lol this is 100% the fake because I got my money back for the figure. They said it is good quality replica. Havent bought it recently as this was years ago but I also got 2 sh figuarts with logos missing from the same person.
Like I posted in that other Video, it seems the China fakes gettin worse.. Diffrent paintjob and even the fake box does not have the Neca and Reel Toys Logo anymore.. lool

Ya but thats with a lot of stuff. I love Jordan's but I hate the bootleg Jordan's lol but again they are all made in China. It comes down to the quality of the figure. And as long as your happy with the figure then it doesn't matter. I just get mad at the people trying to sell fakes to collectors as the real.

Well they are both made in china, and probably from the same factory. So for one of them u just pay extra for the name lol i have Freddy and this one fake and they look the same as the real and pay only $18 for them. To me real or not i don't care lol

The factories that produce neca figs are in China, so a lot of the workers tend to steal figures that are defective from the mold and can’t be sold in stores, and paint in details themselves. Hence a lot of knockoffs have horrible paint quality and fresh smell of a strong resin from the box.
Christopher &BAYTROCK they cant be sued cus their own workers are producing knockoffs, thats y these knockoffs use NECAs name as the toy company for the bootlegs. Also everything in China has fakes so its hard to pin anyone down since everyone’s doing it
