Definitely I haven't come across one that broke like this especially this easy but Neca does send out defects too

Its nice when you find out its real lol. Some people dont care but if it becomes a $100 and that what youll pay youll be mad to know it was only $20-30 smh. I really liked this figure though.
Fake is quite good, I've seen worst in bootlegs.
Hope they will do fake Sdcc John Connor as it will be the only way for us Europeans to access it.

I have to point out (noticed it comparing the one i just got), biggest tell is that the bootleg one doesn't say "ages 17 & up" on top of the box, didn't realize if you mentioned it or not. Great review! helped me confirm mine is real (love this jason btw, neca nailed it).

Def QC problems. I bought my FVJ Jason from Target which is a NECA supplier and got the "fake" box version but got the real figure which you shown from your video. My scratched mask has the scratches but the panel lining is light. So imo its the QC which NECA is known for.
I bought one on amazon and it came with one leg shorter than the other one

You can put a piece of a part of a lego to fix his arm. There’s a guy named Toy Polloi that shows how to fix action figures with LEGO parts.

I know this one is a fake I bought it from the same company that sold me the figuarts Vegeta and that one is 100% a fake lol doesnt even have most of the logos. The new bootlegs are really close to the real but Neca also admits there are a lot of fakes out there sad to say

These look more like quality variations than fakes. They look almost exactly the same.
Ya that's why I have stepped back from the Newer Fakes of Neca because they have gotten real good. If you order the older fakes theres big differences but the newer ones have been spot on with most of them. I've ordered from the same ones that I got the bad fakes one so I know it's the same company
Really like this series. Subscribed (finally). I actually purchased a Neca Nathan Drake figure off eBay this past week and thought of you. I made sure to order the authentic version from a US seller which was about $7 more expensive than the ones listed from China.

So I just got one of these and I think it’s a knock off. It looks virtually identical but the legs are soooo loose. I can’t even get him to stand on an official neca stand. I like these videos btw. Gonna help me in the future

Got one off of amazon in January gots the shiny shirt the scratch mask doesnt have the black to highlight the scratches the leg snaps into 3 positions idk if that's just an error but still was looking into it and then my walmart gets some in got another to compare and the one from walmart dosen't have the shiny shirt looks way dull box looks good but the mask had scratches too but no black to highlight them either plus flame was almost more see thru also the tie downs were rubber not the metal ones like the one from amazon so idk are they just from different factories?

My box is dark but the figure is legit as I got it from Forbidden Planet in Notts UK. Honestly I think Neca QC has dropped a fair bit since mass producing at a higher level than before.

I've personally talked to them. They said they are very aware that there are bootlegs. I asked them if they have a way to tell if it is a fake and they told me yes but they cant tell me what it is smh. I wasnt to happy because I want to know how to really tell but they wont let people know.
How do you get the real ones
Ok. My experience is I have the real one according to your points in the video and it has the 17 and up on top. But the shirt under the coat is not glossy like the real one in the video has. Everything else is pointing to it being real except the shirt on mine isn’t glossy. I got mine a while back. Like maybe 6 or 7 months back. Maybe they changed it,the glossy shirt.

I have a question. Does the real one preform better than the fake one? I take pictures of these figures for my insta and I would love to get my hands on one but would like it to not end up breaking trying to take a picture.

Mines completely different than either of these my undershirt is dark navy blue, my bloody mask is covered in way more blood, also my box is dark colored just like the fake on here.
What is the upc code on the bottom of the box. They reissued this figure and I think the reissue is slightly different. From what Ive found they only make fakes of the first release. It might be the reason for the difference in box and figure color.

Yes it does suck but if you ordered it from US than you should be good. If you ordered from china than 9/10 itll be fake

I'm gonna get a real one, then I'm gonna overhaul the bloody mask to look like the darker end scene mask, since the bloody mask looks weird because Jason has no blood on him
Ya i really liked this figure and wanted to do a custom job on it. Also wanted to make a diorama scene for him and freddy. I wish they would of came out with the freddy version and the accessories pack smh. Hopefully they still do some day.

Surprisingly, mine doesn't have a bright blue undershirt like those. Mine is very dark. I don't know if that means it's fake or not, but the box seems to be real. I bought it at Best Buy, but I'm sure fake one's still make it through to retail stores. Mine also has a weird open stance as opposed to others I've seen. Then I noticed my bloody machete has more of a burnt appearance with subtle blood on it, which I personally favor instead of the one's in the video; it goes with the flame accessory. Plus, practically all of these are from China, even mine. I'm new to NECA, but my novice interpretation of authenticity to mostly everything would be that if it's real it's exactly from where it is manufactured, i.e., U.S.A. Still cool though.
Best Buy and big retailers get directly from Neca. Yes they all come from china but different companies like how they make fake Nike, purses ect. You might have gotten the rerelease of the figure which has different paint applications I think. Also mine came directly from Neca of the real and it came with defects thats why I never say Neca doesn't have some.
Bruh when I got mine it was the real one but the thing that I hated about it is the fact that Jason’s skin is supposed to be gray not the poop brown they put on him so I repainted mine

Bought a Neca Jason yesterday when I was out shopping, I thought let’s check if it’s real- mid way through watching this video I’m like damn the box seems the same I think it’s real. Got to the shirts and I realised mines black not blue.

I always look at the reviews of the company. People will complain and say they received a fake. If it is being shipped directly from china then 9/10 it is fake. I also look at the other toys they have. Figuarts is the easiest to tell if they are fake because they won't have all the logos. Chances are if they are selling other fake toys then they are all fake in my opinion.

I have been watching your videos for a while, and I was wondering, are they more for display, or can they be carried around? The reason I'm asking is because I know that if I get one, it will become my comfort item relatively quickly.
They are great for both. Sometimes they have issues with the legs breaking or arms. If you heat them up in hot water or with a blow dryer they are a lot more flexable.

Got my freddy vs Jason figure from fye if you don’t know what Fye is it is a store in mall’s and its arm wont bend and I’m scared it will fall of if I bend it so maybe Fye is selling fakes ._.
No FYE has real figures. I love that store so the arm not bending is how they come sometimes. I've broken arms because of it. If you heat it up with a heatgun/ hair dryer or put it in Hot water for a little while it should move a lot easier
