Also the lady who spilled the coffee had third degree burns and needed skin grafts. All she asked for was her medical bills, but McDonalds refused so she took them to court, where they were found liable by a jury. The "million dollars for spilled coffee" story was perpetuated by their corporate office to discredit her.
I remember reading about it on the danish news and the reaction everywhere was “only I THE US”. It wasn’t until a few yrs ago I read how bad a burn she got. Also McDonalds coffee is way hotter than other establishments. She deserved the money
If I remember right from the documentary I watched, McDonald's had been warned already because multiple employees got hurt by the same coffee. I worked at Starbucks and got my hand in the water that pours directly into the coffee grounds and only got second degree burns. Which is bad enough. But their hotest water wasn't at McDonald's coffee temperature after the coffee had been sitting in the urn, poured and the car has pulled into a parking spot.
I started with a random person on tiktok for these, found two hot takes, and then found these guys. My only problem is everyone ends up doing the same stories eventually. And I listen to these guys more than I listen to THT now. Their voices are more soothing
I love how all of the guys decided that puzzle guy was the devil. LMAO. I completely agree, but didn't think they would go as far as calling for divorce. Hilarious. Eric... if you are watching this... there are impossible puzzles that have extra pieces. Get one. Let the revenge ensue.

Hi! First time commenting that I can remember I could be wrong. I know this throw away comment should bother me but I wanted to expand on the woman who sued Mcdonald. They deserved that lawsuit. The woman was an older lady, the coffee was over 200 degrees which is considered a hazard in the industry; she burned her lap from the extreme heat of the coffee. Not to get TMI but she needed skin graphs in a place noone wants to be burned in that area aside from her thighs. All she asked was for them to pay for the hospital bill and McDonalds proceeded to say no and slander her along with the media. I'm not gonna call you guys name for not knowing this because I found this out through a channel that talked about how the media screwed people over. Another case of this is that sad meme of "Dingos Ate My Baby" which was a real case where cops ignored the Aboriginal people around that area that told them dingos would do that to children if they were left unattended. Long story short: I recommend looking into the McDonalds coffee case but I dont think yoy guys are assws for not knowing.
Don't forget that they had been warned, iirc not once but more than once, that their coffee was too hot and they needed to turn the temperature down. That's what really makes it even worse. They knew and didn't care.
I feel so bad for that woman who lost her kid, and the fact cops tried to frame her for the death of her child and she is still harassed by hate mail written from the "dingo" it's disgusting
As someone who lost their dad this hits hard. Losing a parent/s sucks. Can’t imagine how hard it was for them losing their parent so young. It’s a pain that doesn’t ever go away. That being said… love the jokes 😅
Josh tell your friends with the bossy garden neighboor (adjust for Canadian-ness) “oh hello will you begin paying our property taxes? no, then whatever grievances you have you can write in your journal or vent to a friend, we no longer care to hear your critiques” or “ma’am youre more than welcome to write up what you feel needs to be done, we will review it and chose a day to have you come and do the yard work- oh thats not going to work? then we kindly wish you refrain from constantly voicing your opinion, we’ve heard you and we like how it is as is”
Story 5: Thearpy! I legit was able to get into it in 2020 via a program aimed at my demographic. I was lucky to scout out a therapist that I felt called to. She was amazing and I learned so much from her. The way I don't know if I'd made it through the end of 2020 without being in therapy is crazy.
I love you guys, but I wish you read the last letter a bit more sentimentality. It means so much to the people involved, and it was funny at first, but then just overdone with laughing at every word
i will ABSOLUTELY die on this hill: the twilight film series is SO entertaining, no matter what you think of its actual merit. since i know that guys have fragile masculinities, i make it my personal mission to make any of my cishet guy friends or previous partners watch it with me, as i know they WILL enjoy it. they just haven’t been exposed 😈

I left a comment saying the same thing, but it’s been deleted. Thanks for covering too!
Thank you was about to comment this myself

Thank you, like the coffee was literaly boiling hot (100°c while a coffee is max 50°c). And she was in the passenger's seat of a parked car
I don't understand why this channel doesn't have more subs... You guys and THT are the BEST at Reddit stories!
I agree!!!
Yessssss and smosh but I wish smosh did longer episodes like they used to
I like okstorytime too and definitely Smosh but I feel like that's a different vibe

@Shadofox100 i don't mind them and tht for having same stories. I like different takes or hearing opinions coming from others
