    I had the same problem, I took the whole battery box out and installed a large four wheeler battery and have had no more problems after buying a battery every year, I have no more problems of being stranded like I am riding a Harley

      This is exactly what is was thinking. With that small upgrade and an exhaust this bike is elite. And crazy comfortable. And affordable.

      I'd love to know more about the components you used to replace the batter/box.

    I've literally just started to have this problem yesterday. I've read that Honda actually has had a revision on there starters for these through other forms. But this way definitely will be cheaper. Good job!

    Very good video! Yes it helps with the hot start problem. Honda used a starter and battery that is to small for this 1300cc engine. When the starter loads up against the compression stroke it stalls. Better connections and maybe a higher amp rated battery solves this problem. (Honda should know better when mfg this motor)

    Various Hondas I've owned had electrical issues, and it's always those plastic multi-wire connectors or the ground bolt to the engine. One of the first things I do when I buy a bike is go thru the electrical connectors and put some dielectric grease on them to prevent corrosion.

    Sept. 2022. I’ve had to replace the battery on my 2016 Fury every year. More like every ten months. Once the battery gets a little old/tired the bike blinks out once hot when I try to start it. Can depend on hot start problem. It’s been happening again for the last month.
    Over this Labor Day weekend I added an additional 6 gauge 20 inch marine cable to the Negative side. Kept the factory cable, also. Ran her hard on the way to work. Absolutely no problem starting back up when hot now. Also when I got home after another hard ride NO PROBLEMS STARTING NOW.

    I have this issue with cold starts. I'll try this out. A new starter is like 450. Screw Honda for not doing a recall on this and fixing it. I wish they would do a class action lawsuit against them.

    The Fury's always had battery related problems. My 2010 was 100% stock with under 3k miles but it still drained the hell out the battery.

    the ground wire bolt that screws into the engine gets corroded, all you have to do is unscrew the bolt clean it and the hole it goes in and Sam's your uncle.

      I checked my battery terminals and they were both cool and thats after 30 minutes of riding so other comments say that need to upgrade to a higher cranking battery

    If it helps some one, my old Suzuki intruder had a dummy switch in the clutch lever that went bad because of riding in the rain. Also other starting problems were loose negative battery post connection, improper aftermarket fuel filter and battery going bad at end of it's 2 year life cycle. Also the starter button and maybe kill switch were going bad because of age and riding in the rain.

    Al you need is a good battery trust me. 190 cca or more. Try hooking up a booster and you'll see the ground would not be a problem.

    • @hhariprashad5928
      @hhariprashad5928  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Not on a Fury, I replaced the battery, by the way fury battery is at least 230 CCA. 190 not going to work. The more CCA the better.
      Thanks for your input.

    Honda has always had weak starter systems. Brilliant and efficient solution that their engineers and bean counters would never allow.

    .......American friend where is the fall sensor. Motorcycle stalls when leaning slightly to the right

    • @hhariprashad5928

      I believe it's under the seat area. You have to remove the seat and the rear fender. It bolted to the frame in front of the rear wheel.

    Am also wondering if the oem ground crimp is crap metal, because it's odd that only one battery connector is hot af.

    • @hhariprashad5928

      It's possible, I still think the cable is not heavy enough.

    my battery died. I put new one in and got the negative (finally) back on. when I touched the positive the motor started. key in off position, it sparked and the motor started trying to start. waiting for Honda to open now.

    • @hhariprashad5928
      @hhariprashad5928  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That might be a bad relay or starter. I would check the relay / replace first since that cost less.

    • @gingerjay6483
      @gingerjay6483 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sounds like a relay issue.

  • @SuperJimbell

    Thing is how come it worked fine before and now it doesn't..what causes it to fail over time?

    • @hhariprashad5928
      @hhariprashad5928  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That's a good question. I'm not sure what caused the failure or why . I bought my fury used with 1500 miles on it. Maybe that's why the guy sold it 😀. I had the hot start issue from the time I got the bike, I replaced the battery , and still had the problem. From the time I added the extra ground wire,, no more hot start problem to this day.
