I miss my school. I didn't know how amazing this school is when I was there because I was way too caught up in getting As. I missed out on so many things I could have enjoyed and learned from. Getting good grades definitely isn't everything. Please remember that and try to embrace all the amazing things Cornell has to offer as much as you can. This is a once in a life time experience. Spend it wisely.
To Alex Silver and Jon Tai. Please understand that you two are geniuses - and I don't throw this word around lightly. This video *literally* gave me chills. Truly great poetry mixed with awe-inspiring scenery + editing and the perfect choice of music. Thank you for making this.
Its going to be 3 years since I graduated from Cornell ('13). I miss that place so much. to all of you in school now have a lot of fun please enjoy it.
what was your scores and how did you do that... can you please guide me as i am from india and hoping to get in cornell.I would have apply last year but i have taken a break for it.Thanks
It’s so interesting to read the comments that are excited for admissions or are about heading into the college and it’s more than 4 years ago so they’ve all maybe graduated.
Damnnn i randomly stumbled on this video and as soon as i heard the quote by Ezra Cornell, i knew it was Cornell. Makes me even more hyped to be attending school there this fall
Glad you deem it so! Yeah what you see is what you get. Of course video / media does not do the campus justice. You just have to visit to truly experience the beauty yourself!
+gains Its me again. a year later. Cornell University Class of 2019. Unreal. When I left this comment a year ago, I never thought I'd actually get in. It was a huge reach for me. Even some of my closest friends told me I was wasting my time. And now I can actually say this is where I attend college. Life is amazing sometimes and I think what I took away from the college applying experience is that you should never put any limits on yourself. Only if you truly believe it, life really is limitless.
all together i had a 2000 super score, and I'm asian, my essay was definitely fantastic, school grades on point, extra circulars def important. SAT is such a small unimportant factor

Can you send me the original version with the audio? It would be a really great help for the video project I am making of my own college.Could you do it asap
Please give us the sound back. There is no use for the copyrighed content if no one knows about it. I will gladly promote the sound track as much as I do this video if I know whom to give the credit to.
This is the remastered version? Seems like a simple way of improving parts of the video would be to remove some of the very noticeable dark specs on the camera lens at times like 3:42 . Would think that it shouldn’t be difficult to do with a video editor.
“Here’s to us saying goodbye… here’s to you saying hello.”
THIS GOT ME

Watching this 5 days before graduation makes me realize how much I'm going to miss this incredible place.
Thank you for taking the time to do this. I graduated in 1963 and have been back twice. Without a doubt its the most beautiful campus in the USA.
Almost every scene felt so personal to me, but it probably does to you too. That’s the beauty of it. Love it.
To Alex Silver and Jon Tai.

@Inkedotly, how's Cornell a safety for anyone?
Had my seven year old watch this video and he stated, "That school looks cool, but do they have mine craft classes?'
This is the remastered version? Seems like a simple way of improving parts of the video would be to remove some of the very noticeable dark specs on the camera lens at times like 3:42 . Would think that it shouldn’t be difficult to do with a video editor.

Oh, thanks. The remastered one looks much better. The dark specks that I mentioned are gone.
No ILR? Sad…but otherwise well done.
Sorry I can't help you out - I decided to go to Duke in the end. I absolutely love it here though but I'm sure I would've loved Cornell as well.
Taken down on Vimeo - where can I find it?

just in case you still want it :)
oh yes i do - thanks!
Can't thank you enough for sharing that link! :)
lol who are you. hope ya had fun at IC
You're talking to someone who has lived in upstate New York for more than 25 years. :)
But not really, when you take financial aid into account. If you can't afford to pay full tuition, you won't have to.
Okay. Thanks anyway! :)
[iminent=Wqnsm6YVffOB] everybody
This is... DAMN TOO LONG
