Around the 4:05 mark, about Hafthor Bjornsson holding the World Record despite his unfavorable leverages: He had an extra ingredient fueling his training: hatred. Saw a young guy at the gym today, probably a teenager. He was doing deadlifs at like 100 kg. He went at it fast, rep after rep, no bracing, arching his back, no control over the eccentric just letting it fall and craziest of all he didnt seem to have any real muscle on his body. I thought to myself that if i did what he was doing my back would be toast for at least a few months and maybe forever! Crazy how being young kinda makes you immortal in some sense. I hope he learns before he hurts himself.

I would love to see that monster in pads on a football field. If you put him at defensive tackle, teach him some basic techniques, and then tell him to pick up the guard and center and throw them both at the same time right into the QBs chest! Talk about a game wrecker!!
There was a video a few years ago where the Minnesota Vikings invited him to their facility and outfitted him in pads. Sadly he didn't actually play, but it was still an awesome video.
You sure can have the same accent for Iceland, sweden, Denmark and norway but finland isn't the same. Those other languages are related but finnish is totally it's own thing and doesn't sound like scandinavian languages
Swedish, Norwegian, Danish and even Icelandic are all similar enough for us to understand each other, verbally and definitely in written text. Finnish is a completely separate language family. However, ironically enough, when speaking English even the Finns has a similar accent to the Scandinavian countries. Mike's generic Nordic accent sounded mostly Finnish, but I could give it a pass for a Swede, a Norwegian or an Icelander too. For some reason all we Nordic siblings sound similar speaking English =) But the Finnish accent is a bit harsher (like the way Mike was so rough on those consonants), Swedish and Norwegian accents are softer, longer vowels, more sing-songy cadence.
9:35 Eddie Hall recently tore his triceps doing 100kg dumbbell shoulder press halfway through a video with Iron Biby and he didn’t even stop the video to get it looked at. They just carried on training after a few minutes. Most insane shit I’ve ever seen.
And my stupid arms when fully extended make the bar hang around peepee level instead of knees or kid thigh.... Can I use that as an excuse for being bad at deadlifts or my sciatica... Or my scoliosis...
Being a Swede, we dont really care that you ridicule Scandinavian accents.. 🤣 The Islandics are a special breed. They're like 150.000 of them but half of them have been Worlds Strongest Man at some point. Its ridiculous how many strong people that came from that small genepool.

Halfthor is a legend.
As a Norwegian here, stereotypic accent was on point and very entertaining 👍
As a Swede your nordic accent is both accurate and hilarious
Really good video. Would love to see you reaction to the stoltman brothers one day.
6:00 the cup in his hand looks like children's toy lol
Beat me to it! 😂 it’s insane!
Dr. Mike is the Goat, I met this guy at a BJJ comp in Detroit he is super nice.
Its just mike he doesnt have a phd. Unless you wana be a D rider then go right ahead, he might ask you to call him daddy nect.
Bro, I worked out with him once in his gym. This man is a beast and it is way more impressive to see that sh*t in person. I tried to lift his stuff and couldn’t even move it… he is super nice and chill though
Edit. The women there are not as pretty as people make them out to be.
I love how you can tell the clear distinction imediately in these videos between people who get big for looks and people like Thor who get big for competition and practicality
Mike, that's a pretty good impression of the hydraulic channel dude. Think he's Finnish.
1:37 can someone who knows morse code know what Dr.Mike said?
It’s a tic
I love this video series, its very educational and entertaining.
I would like to see Eddie Hall and Mitchell Hooper in one of these soon. Keep up the great work. :D
He's been benching all day, now his pecs are all Thor.
That pec crunch was fuckin rough. Dude just basically walks it off. Insane.
Hey everyone!
Stop at exactly 7:50 Min
And enjoy the view.
I've never seen something so magnificent.
It's like his whole hair tried to flee his face in virtually all directions possible.
I love every single detail about it
I just spend like a minute laughing while sitting on the toilet like a madman
"Tried to flee his face in virtually all directions" the perfect description lmao
Man, fun to catch this very early :D
Mike ur absolute legend bro by far my fravioute person when it comes to steroids so honest give us a shout take care all way from uk
I hate Scott for that one🤦♂️ 8:30
18:30 was my literal experience, avoid that any young guys listening, and you’ll never lose your strength and will be stronger and have better muscle growth in the long run
Hell yeah! But for which team?
Nice video, but i didn't learn a lot, from this.
But in general Mike's channel is gorgeous!
You sure can have the same accent for Iceland, sweden, Denmark and norway but finland isn't the same. Those other languages are related but finnish is totally it's own thing and doesn't sound like scandinavian languages
And yet Mike's accent was closer to how finnish people speak english, than the others
For some reason all we Nordic siblings sound similar speaking English =)
But the Finnish accent is a bit harsher (like the way Mike was so rough on those consonants), Swedish and Norwegian accents are softer, longer vowels, more sing-songy cadence.
Got my RP versa’s today.. ❤️ them
Asking again for Andrei Smaev
"Thanks for that.." :D love it Mike and Scott !
If you had him and Brain Shaw as bodyguards that would be insane.
The accent and graphics are hilarious. Thanks for the laugh.😂❤
Being a Swede, we dont really care that you ridicule Scandinavian accents.. 🤣 The Islandics are a special breed. They're like 150.000 of them but half of them have been Worlds Strongest Man at some point. Its ridiculous how many strong people that came from that small genepool.
@@gaugamela4759 bro care enough to read it and type a pretty dumb reply
after hearing that pec tear I'm going to be heavily reconsidering my habit to continue watching past "viewer discretion" warnings
anyone know where to find the tank top hes wearing at 0:34 ?
Sick huh?
@@LambeauLeeeper yeah... i cant find it anywhere. reverse image search didnt help either
I got a picture with him while holding my son when he was one years old. I titled the picture, " when the 3 strongest men in the world meet" We were all wearing kilts because it was at the highland games.
