- This video is my experience in the first 4 months of quitting alcohol.
This is a very interesting experiment that keeps teaching me new things about myself and others as it’s unfolding.
Hope this video finds you if you are curious about what your first months would be like being sober
Society needs to normalize not questioning a “no”.
Drinkers: want a drink?
Non drinker: no thanks im not drinking.
Drinkers: ok 👍
How hard is that.
🔥 Theres a place for people who peer pressure 🔥
The answer is not to get in the situations where people are pressuring you to drink. Better friends/connections/activities, basically.
@@Antody thats great! No should still mean no. Thats all I’m explaining here.
100%
This means alot to me, as I am currently quitting alcohol after having abused my body with it for the past 12 years. I wasn't really a drinker to begin with and people would always pressure me to drink even though I was very adamant about not being interested.
I ended up drinking excessively shortly after my parents passed in 2011 and now I'm just ready to heal from that a move forward with my life without alcohol. It's been a rough couple of days so far, but I'm optimistic. I quit smoking cigarettes a few years ago, so this should be simple enough. Wish me luck 🙏🏿
I feel for you Leo. My parents past away as well . And i quit smoking as well….
If I can tell you one thing that helped me alot, write every morning “I am alcohol free” sound crazy I know but it did wonders for my inner strength.
I made a video about this. “Writing it made me do it”
Check it out!
Keep it up Leo, we’re stronger than we think💥💥
No need for luck my friend, you got this💥
@@Betheother thank you for the advice. I will definitely use it, as I am a firm believer in the L.O.A
❤
I gave up drinking a year ago on the 13th this month. I've have one sip for a special occasion and that's it. Honestly one of the best things I have done for myself. So much of this rang true for me. Glad to see and hear from others, just because it is so normalized to drink.
Congrats 💥💥 ya i thought i wasn’t alone in this. Thank you for you comment, I appreciate you
Thumbs Up 👍 and shared out.❤
thanks for sharing and making awareness on how the process could be.
Your videos are really well done. Truly resonating with me. Looks like your art is flourishing. Well done
Thank you so much for watching and reaching out!
I appreciate you 🙏🏼
A few years ago I stopped drinking completely. I didn’t have a problem with alcohol but I noticed that certain drinks were making me feel really sick and I was experiencing some other health issues, so I stopped fully for a while. I ended up parting ways with a long time friend over it because she just could not wrap her mind around not drinking. She’d ask me to go for drinks and when I’d remind her of not drinking she’d be like “that suuuuuucks” or “you can just have a few!” Friends are supposed to be supportive, not make things like that more difficult. I now drink occasionally but still not a lot at all.
So weird how it makes other people feel weird when you don’t want to drink… thank you for your comment I appreciate you
Thanks so much mate, needed this today!
Thank you Matty for watching and reaching out , I appreciate you my friend 🙏
I’m glad the video found you 💥
Wow this is powerful stuff thank you
Thank you for watching 🙏🏼
I’ve been thinking of taking a break because I always smoke when I drink, and I gotta cut that out. It’s tricky to be a dry bartender, but not impossible and something about that is kinda endearing to me. I want to focus on my health because i might just be twenty three, but I don’t feel as healthy as I’d like to be. Been thinking about this on and off for months, but especially today. And then boom, you uploaded this video. I’m excited to get started. One month will go by quickly. Who knows what else it’ll lead to :)
Thats amazing! You got this easy Rebecca.
When I quit smoking, I was a bartender as well and I was 23 !
But the drinking kept doing 🙄
Set yourself goals and respect them. You will build the habit and everything gonna get easier.
Never to young to take care of yourself, and your futur you is thanking you🙂 thank you for your comment, I appreciate you Rebecca🙏🏼
People have acted so weird, in the 2 years ive been sober. Weird because I dont drink, and then even weirder if I, on rare occasion, order a glass of wine with dinner out. My mother in law acted as if i take 1 sip of wine, I might slip into some uncontrollable monsterous state. So be prepared for that sort of thing.
Ya that is strange..😂 I don’t have one those yet (mother in law) so in the clear for now!
