I love Pat Metheny, one of the greatest virtuosos of the Jazz guitar, composition and arrangement who is always joyous and yet profound without being tormented or patronizing. His guitar tone is about the best I have ever heard and his ear for detail and nuance places him on the Mount Olympus of the immortals.
This song belongs to another solar system when I first heard it years ago and nothing has changed since. To play it so flawlessly live is mind numbing. The intricate cymbal & snare patterns is stunning. My favorite song by Metheny ever.

I consider myself very lucky to have see Pat and band at the Paolo Soleri Amphitheater in Santa Fe, NM years ago. Unbelievable evening at an amazing place, sadly the Amphitheater is being allowed to quietly deteriorate into ruin, out of spite or bureaucratic incompetence, not sure which.

I saw them on this tour. It was nothing less than amazing. Ledford and Blamirez played a huge array of instruments. Truly talented.

I just love how he uses the whole fret board. Others too often ignore the low range. Also love how the vocals are used as an instrument.
